Republican Representative Darrell Issa has been a thorn in President Obama's side ever since he launched an investigation into Obama's favored corrupt company, Fannie Mae, over a patent they acquired as part of the cap and trade system. Issa then furthered his "pesky" reputation with the President when he called for an investigation of Obama's use of American tax dollars in the campaign for Kenya's new constitution. Now, as ranking Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Issa released a report accusing the White House of "unlawful public relations and propaganda initiatives." The thirty-seven page pre-publication copy [PDF] of Issa's report publically charges the Obama administration with criminal activity. According to WorldNetDaily's Jerome Corsi, "It charges the Obama administration with violating federal laws to advance what the Government Accounting Office has characterized as an unlawful ‘covert campaign', using federal resources ‘to activate a sophisticated propaganda and lobbying campaign'." The report entitled "Analysis of the First Year of the Obama Administration: Public Relations and Propaganda Initiatives" begins: Since the beginning of the Obama Administration on January 20, 2009, ordinary Americans have financed and been exposed to an unprecedented number of public relations and propaganda efforts. Federal spending for public relations contracts rose to historically-high levels during the Bush Administration. Under one-party rule in 2009, the White House used the machinery of the Obama campaign to tout the President's agenda through inappropriate and sometimes unlawful public relations and propaganda initiatives. Congress buoyed the Administration's propaganda efforts by increasing federal spending on public relations for the first time since 2005. The Obama Administration frequently used federal resources to promote the President's agenda. In many cases, the Administration relied on the reach and resources of federal agencies and their personnel to promote certain of the President's favorite programs. The White House also leveraged ties to the arts and entertainment community to embed propaganda in the content of television programming and artwork. These propaganda efforts violated appropriations riders and federal law prohibiting the use of appropriated funds for publicity or propaganda purposes www.thenewamerican.com/index.php/usnews/congress/4331-congressman-issa-accuses-obama-admin-of-criminal-activity

Jeez is anyone surprised? He is at the beck and call of the world power brokers in my opinion and has been all along. In perfect lock step with the New World Order group. For those that want confirmation just go and read their agenda. Bye the bye Bush was a friend in the family also.

The White House dismissed this claim by Congressman Issa but he wants to see records and data about the meeting at the White House with Obama, Business Execs and the DNC...Issa told CBS news that he was told by some of the Execs that they were asked to contribute big bucks to Obama Presidential Campaign which is a violation of the campaign laws.. And the DNC put this meeting together at the White House so we shall see what happens I guess??? But you know the Repubs are waiting and watching this one..

Issa uses propaganda to charge Obama with using propaganda by Frank Gormlie on August 21, 2010 · 2 comments in Culture, Election, War and Peace 101016352AW003_REP_ISSA_R_COur local Repubnick, Darrel Issa – of North County (the 49th CD) – is in the news again, and he’s in the news again because he continues to play the role of the GOP’s attack dog on the Obama administration. Of all the problems facing this country, what do you think Issa is now charging the White House with? Issa, the ranking Republican on the House of Representatives’ Oversight Committee – and former car alarm king, is charging Obama with being guilty of using propaganda with White House claims of saving jobs and creating new ones with stimulus monies. That’s it. Obama is therefore guilty because the claims cannot be proven, says Issa, and such propaganda is prohibited if taxpayer money is used. With the near total absence of Congressional oversight of the Bush administration for eight, long years, here is Issa and his Republican committee members busying themselves with issuing a 37 page report supposedly detailing the President’s misconduct. They want the GAO – the Government Accountability Office – to investigate these violations of federal law. Darrell-Issa clownfaceOf course, the Repubnicks on the committee are being paid with taxpayer funds while they dealt with this serious problem. Talk about “propaganda!†Isn’t this what they are doing? So, in the end, the GOP’ers are charging the White House with using our money to make propaganda all the while these same Republicans are using our money to put out their propaganda. It makes us disgusted. obrag.org/?p=23632<smirk>

Issa is just another dirty politican----"As Roll Call reported earlier this month, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) has a history of blending his personal business interests with his work as a member of Congress. Companies owned by the Issa family, including a firm called DEI (an acronym for Issa’s initials), set up websites to channel users to Issa’s official congressional campaign website. After Roll Call made an ethical inquiry to Issa, he changed the website.
ThinkProgress has discovered more troubling evidence that Issa may have blended his work as a lawmaker with his own business empire. After founding a successful car alarm company, Issa invested his fortune in a sprawling network of real estate companies with holdings throughout his district. One of Issa’s most valuable properties, a medical office building at 2067 West Vista Way in Vista, California, is called the Vista Medical Center, and was purchased in 2008 for $16.6 million. Described as “a long-term investment,” the property was bought by a company called Viper LLC, a business entity operated by Issa’s family that Issa has up to a $25 million dollar stake in.
Around the same time, Issa made the Vista Medical Center purchase, the congressman began requesting millions of dollars worth of earmarks to widen and improve the highway adjacent to the building. In 2008, he requested $2 million to expand West Vista Way, the road in front of his “long-term investment,” but only received $245,000 from the government. The next year, Issa made another earmark request for improving the West Vista Way highway next to his building. He earmarked another $570,000, bringing his total to $815,000, to add parking lots, widen the road, add bus stops, improve the sewer system, and other utility work. A map showing the location of Issa’s property, and the road, is below:
Issa has said that an “earmark is tantamount to a bribe.” While Issa has handed out earmarks to his campaign donors in the past, in this case, he appears to be helping himself.
Although the highway project has not begun yet (because of local budget problems), the federal money is allocated through Issa’s efforts. Already, a firm representing Issa’s real estate company is advertising the Vista Medical Building and its “Excellent Access with Freeway Visibility.” As ethics experts have explained, lawmakers should avoid earmarks in the immediate area of their own business interests.
Issa’s highway earmarks not only potentially benefit his multi-million dollar medical office building, they provide better access to his other properties in the area. About 2 miles down West Vista Way from the Vista Medical Center, Issa owns a commercial office building worth over $9 million, as well as an adjacent retail office building. The commercial office building leases to a number of different clients, and Issa’s retail building leases to a Hooter’s. All three properties are on the same highway, which Issa plans to retrofit with taxpayer money. "

Why do we overlook things like that and this?----"Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) raised hell last year to stop the federal government from investigating Goldman Sachs regarding allegations that the company defrauded investors. In April 2010, shortly after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced a civil suit against Goldman Sachs, Issa sent a letter to SEC Chairwoman Mary Schapiro demanding to know if there was “any sort of prearrangement, coordination, direction from, or advance notice” between the SEC and the Obama administration or congressional Democrats over the timing of the lawsuit.
Issa’s investigation of the SEC’s investigation into Goldman Sachs stole the headlines and reinforced Goldman Sach’s claim that they had done nothing wrong. Explaining his defense of Goldman Sachs, Issa said he was representing the views of ordinary Americans who are worried about the “growth of government and the growth of government wanting to become more complex, with more agencies and more control over our lives.”
However, recent personal finance disclosures reviewed by ThinkProgress paint a different picture of Issa’s motivations. According to documents filed recently with the House Clerk, Issa went on a buying spree of high yield Goldman Sachs bonds at the same time he was running defense for the investment bank in Congress. From February to December of 2010, Issa bought 12 Goldman Sachs High Yield Fund Class A bonds, each worth up to $50,000 (view page 10 the disclosure here). Many of the bonds were purchased in the months after he filed his letter to the SEC. The $600,000 in new Goldman Sachs investments added to Issa’s already multimillion dollar stake in the company, valued from $5.1 to $15.5 million.
Issa has faced accusations that he has used his considerable political power to enrich himself. Earlier this year, ThinkProgress revealed that Issa had requested nearly $1 million in earmark projects that would have benefitted real estate owned by Issa and his family. " -----He is considered the richest man in Congress.I think he is a Hastert wannabe, using his office and taxpayers money to financially enrich himself.

Are you saying we should ignore things such as these questionable activities friom ISSA and go after the president on some hokey propaganda charges?Do you realize syndicated columnists ADMITED they were paid by the WH last administration to write favorable pieces and push agendas? No one cared about that though. The GAO warned them a number of times about propaganda laws, no one cared. But all of a sudden...lol lol lol... priorities are priorties,I guess. The report entitled "Analysis of the First Year of the Obama Administration: Public Relations and Propaganda Initiatives" begins: Since the beginning of the Obama Administration on January 20, 2009, ordinary Americans have financed and been exposed to an unprecedented number of public relations and propaganda efforts. These propaganda efforts violated appropriations riders and federal law prohibiting the use of appropriated funds for publicity or propaganda purposes. The report also contends that the White House used federal funds to promote Obama's heath care reform proposals. The Department of Health and Human Resources paid health-care economist Jonathon Gruber nearly $400,000 to provide "technical assistance" to the campaign effort for Obamacare. The administration touted testimony provided by Gruber, which appeared in a variety of mainstream media outlets, without revealing that Gruber was in fact a paid contributor. Likewise, the report charges Massie Ritsch of the United States Department of Education with launching an email campaign to promote President Obama's takeover of the student loan program. According to the Oversight Republican Report, such actions constitute criminal abuses. "The intent of the email is clearly to create grassroots support for the president's education agenda by inappropriately leveraging Ritsch's position as a Department of Education employee. Because it was drafted or intended to influence members of Congress while they consider the president's federal student loan plan, it is unlawful." The report goes on to list details of additional offenses and abuses of taxpayer dollars at the hands of the Obama administration. The Oversight Republican Report concludes by saying, "The White House has failed to transition from campaign mode and is now inappropriately leveraging those campaign-trail relationships to unlawfully generate support for the president's agenda." By publishing this report, Congressman Issa has likely sealed his fate as Obama's public enemy number one. Tea Partier Andrew Breitbart's website, Biggovernment.com, notes, however, "Prior to this report being released, the ‘Big' sites have already observed many examples of Research-Propaganda — much of it publicly funded — being spun and fed to the media to support the same initiatives. The site adds, "there is one important issue that cannot necessarily be addressed in a report like Issa's.... Seldom has there been in history, if any, when a sitting President has actually taken aim directly at certain citizens of this country, based upon their political beliefs...The penchant for this administration to directly attack citizens who disagree with the policies is all but unprecedented." Issa's report certainly provides enough evidence of criminal activity to prompt an official investigation, but whether that will actually happen remains to be seen. www.thenewamerican.com/index.php/....minal-activi ty

By publishing this report, Congressman Issa has likely sealed his fate as Obama's public enemy number one.So now be prepared to watch the Liberals here go after Republican Congressman Issa...let the games begin, and sit back and watch this one... And here is his report that claims Obama may have violated campaign finance rules: When he took office, President Obama made a pledge of openness and transparency to all Americans: My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.152 Because federal spending on public relations contracts increased for the first time since 2005, and because the White House spearheaded illegal or inappropriate propaganda initiatives in a variety of ways, taxpayers are justifiably concerned that the President is failing to fulfill the promises he made in the earliest days of this Administration. 152 www.wnd.com/files/100815issapropagandareport.pdf

So you are debunking Issa with shady activities(which I am not denying, he could be a severe loser), but in turn are proving him right by saying the administration of the president paid certain syndicated columnists to push agendas. It looks like your trying to save face for Obama's administration yet at the same time giving evidence that backs up what Issa is incriminating him on. FYI, I think Bush and his administration were complete failures and did horrible damage to this country. I take back that advertising job for a candidate, you would do a horrible job.

No, I want to wait and hear the details to see the severity of this "crime". An administration spending tax money on pr is not really a new concept. But back to Issa---why is no one questioning his actions? I would like to see if there is a conflict of interest going on there also.....

They will try to discredit Issa and he knows it and also addressed this subject yesterday when he said he sent a formal letter to the President of the United States informing him of his Congressional Committee'sinvestigations into campaign finance laws possible violations.. And don't forget Issa's Committee also includes Dems and Repubs who want to know about the President's campaign fund raising activities in the White House... is this legitimate or not?? Who knows??? I sure as hell don't know and nor do you unless you have some good inside sources at the White House who can dismiss this issue out of hand with some background or legal justifications.

Obama Admin Accused Of Criminal Activity
I hate to say it but accusing the other political party of wrong doing or criminal activity is a pretty much standard activity. Both Democrats & Republicans do it & they do it with just about every administration. If somewhere down the road someone goes to jail THEN I will believe it. Until that happens I say that we should concentrate on getting the country on a sound financial footing & let the lawyers & court system worry about it.

Same old, same old. The endless pointing of fingers. Accomplishes nothing. It is obvious the crooks are in the hen house. I agree with Oldtex. get on with the serious business of getting something done. If we are diligent this next election we can vote the crooks out. But we must pay close attention to knowing who they are.
