I've just paid off our new (2010) popup tent trailer that we purchased last Sept. We financed it for 18 months, but planned to pay it off early. I've been making double payments on it since April and was on track to have it paid off the end of next month, but I just got so tired of it that I took the funds I've been saving for DGS's private school tuition and paid it off.
It's looking like he will be going to public school in the fall, but if he does go back to the private school, they will let me make payments on the tuition (no interest).....
Boy, does it feel good!

congrats! This made me smile as it brought up a lot of (mostly) wonderful memories of camping with my parents and 6 older siblings all over the US in the pop-up trailer my dad bought when I was around 6 yrs old. Hope you are having much fun and adventure with yours!

My late husband and I use to camp/RV. We started off with a pop-up. Nice memories. Funny story. We insured our new pop-up and received our first bill for $2000-3000 a MONTH. I laughed and called the the insurance company to tell them that they had made a mistake. She came back and said "oh my god!" Evidently they had insured our cute little pop-up for $7MILLION instead of $7000.00. That would have made a an interesting pop-up!

Congratulations GG!!! I remember you wondering whether to pay it off early. I'll bet next time you use it you'll enjoy it even more! LOL @ April, yes, that must have been some pop-up!
