I got a message that ING is selling ING USA to Capital One. I have no experience with Capital One and am wondering if this is a good or bad thing or if it even matters.

I have been satisfied with the customer service it ING in the past and I think they are the best in the banking world. I have not seen thet change but if they change too much I can always move my money. I have a CC with capital one and have not had any issues with them but they don't impress me the the way ING does. It was unclear from the press release if ING would be run as a separate business unit which would likely mean little change or if Capital One was going to integrate their products and service into the model.

When I got my notification of my monthly statement, there was a message from the president of ING about this.

Can't say I was thrilled with this one, as I closed a Capital One card a long time ago. I guess it's a wait and see game. I did find it interesting the I now see Facebook ads targeting ING customers from "PerkStreet". Still reading more about them.

So. susana, Yes, that is the message I got. ING always seems a bit "cutting edge" so I'm not sure about this sale. We'll wait and see I guess.

Let's see what happens to my mortgage that is at 2.75% right now and set to drop lower yet again in two weeks, lol. Is Capitol One going to try hard to get me to refi or something?
