Beck should be in prison for all the lies and misinformation he has fed to his mushroom/zombie audience.

There are no laws against distortion and lies. And Fox used that as a defense in a whistle blower lawsuit once. Actually, I think he has every right in the world to present his show however he wants......

All this love reminds me of the recent video I saw of all the tolerant liberals happily signing a petition to have Beck banned from the radio.

I hope he tries something spectacular - like trying to fly off the top of Rockefeller Center - like Jack Palance in The Silver Chalice.

All this love reminds me of the recent video I saw of all the tolerant liberals happily signing a petition to have Beck banned from the radio. this has nothing to do with tolerance, Ed. this has to do with taste. that having been said, i know a LOT about Beck. he is a follower of Cleon Skousen, who was either a Bircher, or influenced by them. his theories are so out there that they were considered poisonous to the right of his day. he was especially disliked by Buckley, who i happened to like. so this is a very old rivalry in conservatism, and i fall on the more mainstream, rational side. i don't like conspiracists, and i have no time for people who can't tell the difference between a liberal and a communist, and clearly Beck was one of those people (and Buckley, to his credit, was not). in short, Beck never showed any love for my brand of rational conservatism, i owe him NOTHING. NOTHING. he is seriously bad for the GOP, imo. but i will give him this: i hope he has a happy and QUIET retirement.

I got the feeling he never wanted anything to do with the GOP. I suspect you never watched his show or listened to him on the radio, otherwise that would have been very obvious to you. Maybe you're confusing him with Rush?

I suppose you've forgotten the conservative push to defund NPR because it was "too liberal."

Maybe you're confusing him with Rush? i know Limbaugh very well, having listened to him since 1986, when he only had ONE radio station in Sacramento. my dad owns his entire TV series on DVD, and all of his books, being the sort of fan that borders on worship. i have watched dozens of Beck's shows. he is certainly not appealing to registered Democrats. he is bad for the GOP because, like the tea party, he is pushing them further away from moderates and independents that might conceivably vote that way. that is why i am thankful he is gone today. Democrats should NOT be celebrating. so, no. you suspect wrongly, and i am not confusing him with Rush.

Good Bye Glenn Beck..but he will still be around as an analyst and guest speaker for FOX, and has his radio Talk Show and will devote more time to his Speaking engagements or tours...personally I can NOT stand this wimp who cries too much for me...what a farce he is and made millions selling a lot of BS..... I BS almost as much as Beck and have not made a dime..
