When did this thread get moved to EE? Sometimes the denizens of EE get restless and wander around. We're trying to make Tax behave, really. Carry on.

In case interested here are some recipes. There is also a society called B.A.B.E.S. or Bay Area Bug Eating Society if you wish to join.
Roach Bug Milk: ~ 1 Part American Roach Bugs ~ 4 Parts water Soak dried American Roach Bugs over night in water. Pour off water, and blend. Flavoring may be added to water before soaking. For a delicious smoothie add ice cream or frozen fruit & pure maple syrup. Green Caterpillars: These emerge at the end of the rainy season and feed on grass. To prepare them, remove the intestines and stomach and boil for 5 minutes. Dry them in the sun or low oven. Fry in a hot pan with a little oil when ready to eat. Chocolate Covered Grasshoppers
~ baker’s chocolate ~ candied crickets Melt baker’s chocolate in double boiler. Fill molds halfway with chocolate, add grasshoppers, fill rest of the way. A tasty surprise in every one! Sand Crickets: Dig these from the sand, remove stomach and intestines and wash. Fry in a hot pan with salt and a little oil. Bee Grubs:
Marinate bee grubs, sliced onions, and citrus leaves in coconut cream containing some pepper. Wrap in pieces of linen and steam. Serve as a topping for rice. Dragonfly nymphs:
Just boil them, and eat them!
;D ;D ;D

When did this thread get moved to EE? sorry... I also pick up cans when I walk the dogs ... That gives me a few dollars plus more exercise by picking up the cans ...couldn't she save money by getting rid of the dogs?? although they probably provide fleas, which are nice side dish to the June bugs......

I am excited for this weekend, I am making either mojitos or mint juleps (haven't decided yet) with the spearmint from my herb garden...
