...nor can I attest to the validity of what he's said. If, however, what he says is accurate, it sure explains a lot of things. The percentage of each past president’s cabinet who had worked in the private business sector prior to their appointment to the cabinet. You know what the private business sector is… a real life business, not a government job. Here are the percentages. T. Roosevelt…….. 38% Taft…………………….40% Wilson ………………52% Harding………………49% Coolidge………….. 48% Hoover………………. 42% F. Roosevelt…….. 50% Truman………………..50% Eisenhower……….. 57% Kennedy………….. 30% – 2nd Lowest Johnson……………….47% Nixon………………. 53% Ford…………………. 42% Carter………………. 32% – 3rd Lowest Reagan………………..56% GH Bush……………. 51% Clinton ……………. 39% GW Bush…………… 55% And the winner of the Chicken Dinner is: Obama……………. 8% !!! Yep! That’s right! Only Eight Percent!!!..the least by far of the last 19 presidents!! And these people are trying to tell our big corporations how to run their business? They know what’s best for GM…Chrysler… Wall Street… and you and me? How can the president of a major nation and society…the one with the most successful economic system in world history… stand and talk about business when he’s never worked for one?.. or about jobs when he has never really had one??! And neither has 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers! They’ve spent most of their time in academia, government and/or non-profit jobs…. or as “community organizers” when they should have been in an employment line. randysright.wordpress.com/2010/09/07/a-recent-investors-business-daily-article-on-obama/

I saw that awhile back, Kent. Crazy, isn't it? Is it really any surprise they can't create jobs?? They are all planners, plotters, thinkers, idealists. That's why I would vote for a nobody like Herman Cain at this point in history. We need someone that knows business. Plus Cain has said he will put knowledgeable people in all positions to help him. Appointing your buddies to high places when they are clueless has not worked out well so far for Obama.

I think that each President brings into government those around him when he has been elected so I wouldn't be surprised if that's a true figure. It also explains some of the Obama off the cuff gaffs that slip out every now & then. He has speach writers to make sure that he says "propper" things in speaches. His off the cuff remarks come across as if he's talking in a private conversation to a friend rather than to someone that's going to publish it in the newspaper. Those remarks remind me a LOT of President Bush.

This is not new news. And we all knew that Obama had absolutely no experience in running a business or much of anything before becoming POTUS. How people thought that he could handle this job is beyond me. He has done absolutely nothing except compound the problems by increasing the debt and deficit.
