Agreed. CA likes to portray itself on the forefront of keeping out non-native species, but there is a fishing season/catch limit/size limit on Striped Bass, a non-native species.

Toughtimes with the mass of people and the demands for water I would have thought that the NYC area would have gone to desalinization plants by now. With the size and demand of the NYC area one barren snow winter in upstate could really be a major problem.
