Thanks for the heads up! I've never heard of him, but every little bit helps, and I'm all for free books

man, I missed it! I've had so much trouble with the proboards the last few days I didn't see this post I'd love one of his books but won't spend the money.

so, I've been able to start reading this book, and am curious what others think of it. I love reading these types of books to keep me motivated in spending/debt repayment, but I don't really fall into any of the scenarios that all of these types of books are catering to. The only debts I have are a small cc that will be paid off next month (no interest to speak of so I didn't want to pull any $ out of savings) and my mortgage, which I'm paying extra on and will be paid off in a few years. The only other debt I have are student loans for my kids. I'm not worried about paying them down because the ex has to pay half, and I'm not going to pay his share of expenses for the kids any more (I've been doing that for over 10 years, and it's getting old). While I'll never get him to help with anything other than their student loans (did you know your kids no longer cost you any money after they graduate from HS? ). But the loans will be paid off in a few years also, so I'm not considering those my debts to be paid off early. I have benefitted in the past when I did have alot of debt after my second marriage ended, and I am so thankful every day that I woke up and learned how to pay down the debts and start saving. Does anyone else read these debt reduction books for motivation like me, or since you all are probably way beyond these books, just ignore them? Have you learned anything new from the books on your journey to be in a better financial position?
