Has anyone ever made a bucket list? I cannot think of anything that I would like to do that I haven't already done. And I am 50 years old. What is wrong with me???

I don't have a bucket list, but I don't see myself ever running out of things I want to try, places I want to go, or stuff I want to do. I love, love, love "adventure" (which is surprising to some because I'm pretty boring, don't like change, usually order the same one or two things in a restaurant, etc). I have so much fun trying new things, even though I have a fear of looking like an idiot.

Scooter either you have already had a really fun life or you need to work on your imagination. I have enough things I would like to do to last the rest of my life and then some. There are 50 states, 7 continents, 2 poles etc.

I guess my bucket has more in it than happy's: - Learn to shoot a real gun (have only been skeet shooting)
- Go to Italy to just bum around
- See more of the UK
- Drink more in the UK
- Find a significant other with carpentry & plumbing skills who will work at home if he won't work outside the home; oh yeah & one who hobbies as a chef would be cool too; hmmm & one who owns his own stuff so he won't be taking mine
- Find an employer that I will ENJOY working for
- Write an original book or two
- Get more serious about exercise & enjoy nature more
- Learn more about options/puts/calls and all that investing stuff that I avoid because I haven't studied it yet
- Win the Lotto???

moneywhisperer, if you lived closer, I'd have to get you out shooting. I can't wait until I move out of town and can just shoot off the back deck if I want--it's a fun release, and I'm not even a gun nut

if you can shoot off your back deck, you can also pee off your back deck.

Scooter - I feel as you do. I think we are just very content in our life and where we are at this point. I have dreams still but I've done everything that matters to me, and then some.

Hmmm, not sure I want to be living in your neck of the woods if you'll be randomly shooting into them!

If you are happy as is why do you think something might be wrong? I don't have a bucket list but some things I would like to do. Write my book(s). Be paid for singing. Make one or more films. Do some amateur auto racing. Travel to Europe, Islands, Australia

Optimist-I am too chicken to race cars. I always wanted to be a writer, I would have been good at it in my younger days.
I think I am in a mood that has to do with a lot of different things. I have never liked January, nothing to look forward to, LONG month, cold, etc... Some people don't like Mondays, I don't like January. Anyway, we have traveled alot. I am very glad of that. Took a lot of family and couples vacations. Wouldn't trade those for the world. I just hear people talking about a bucket list, not sure if they would really do half of the things they say they would. Bungee jumping? No way.

Luckily the first 5 days of January are over so you are heading to what used to be my least favorite month, February. Where I grew up it was the season of slush and dreary days.
Bucket lists are good for those who want them. I have lists, but I choose to be happy whether I check them off or not so maybe that's why I won't label my list a bucket list.
Have a good night and any age is a good age for writing!

There are days when I look at DH and say 'If I died tonight, I would not change a day of my life." So I guess I don't feel that I need to keep doing more and more and more and ..............

Happy, I wouldn't change much of my life either but that keep me from wanting to explore other places and do other things. I know I've been very, very lucky and am equally grateful. I just hope the party keeps going!

We travel with our kids every year. We have seen some of this big world...kids are seasoned travelers. I would love to go to England,Italy and maybe take another cruise...whenever that empty nest thing happens. My kids are perfectly content taking family vacations knowing we pay for everything.
