This is what happens. Imagine if they had longer, or if Obama had control of the executive past January 2013. I guess that 1994 election really got to them. So much anger, so much hostility, so much pent up burning desire to spend and expand government. They didn't just over-reach, they self-destructed. Goodbye, Democrats-- and if they can't figure out how to ensure one way or another that Obama is gone in 2012...goodbye forever.
The Democratic Party has imploded, it will smolder down to the cool ashes if they can't get back some assemblance of credibility on spending, national defense, and the economy at large-- all that restored credibility they got under Clinton and the GOP Congress, then I guess it's back to the Democratic Party of LBJ-- vietnam, 'great society', tax-and-spend, radical welfare rights, big government loving liberals...

Oh, I don't know. I'm still voting Democrat. And frankly, the Republicans seem to be angry, disorganized, have overreached themselves with the tea party crack-pot stuff, although I wouldn't go so far to state that they've self-destructed. They need to come up with a good candidate fast, though. Oh, I know, how about Sarah Palin for President, with Michelle Bachmann for Vice President. Now there's a straight-up, knowledgeable ticket which will help put Obama back in office. Go ladies, go.

It's 17 months till election, it's another 6 months before the true election season kicks into high gear, come December/Jan we will see what the top 3 in the field have to offer.

Vote in the republicans and they will implode too. Both parties are big govt big spenders. ...good thing I'm one of those pesky I's that swing either way... so vote for me and get someone who's fighting to decrease federal spending...

Sorry, what's "crack-pot" about the Tea Party? Wanting to follow the Constitution? Advocating for individual rights? Do Democrats consider that "crack-pot" now?
