Is it legal to deny service of any sort - medical, transportation, what have you - to welfare recipients? Is it moral to do so? Can people get fired for denying such service?
Just curious.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of any services which would be legal to deny. However, I can think of many services in which it would be legal to deny taxpayer taxpayer funds to pay for it.

How are you defining welfare?
People receiving SNAP benefits? People receiving Section 8 assistance? People receiving TANF? People receiving Medicaid? People receiving SSI?
What exactly do you mean by "denying service?"
Businesses don't have an obligation to provide free merchandise and services to those people who cannot pay for them. Are you speaking of denying services that cost money, or just arbitrarily saying "Welfare Recipients May Not Eat in Our Restaurant?"

For the definition, I don't know, you better ask people who liberally use the term "welfare rats". For the action of the service provider, it would be like "welfare recipients may not eat here, or get medical service here, or get a cab ride, or whatever".

I hope its not 'Welfare recipients can not use the library." That too. How about a librarian who refuses to admit welfare recipients? OK, or not? Fire him/her, or give a medal?

Actually it is legal. For example, doctors can refuse to take Medicaid patients.

I've read that welfare recipients in Florida will be given special medical services which are not available free to rich people: specifically, drug tests. I'm optimistic that you'll find that conservatives on this board will support giving them this special medical service and deny giving it to the uberrich.
Quite moral, no?

What is the diagnostic value of that test to the recipient?

For every welfare recipient getting a drug test, a rich conservative has to get one too. Fair's fair. Why shoul the poor always mooch off of the rich?

What is the diagnostic value of that test to the recipient? Why, it might prove that an unloving spouse is surreptitiously poisoning their partner. Have you no compassion for the plight of innocents?

How would a business (say, a restaurant) even KNOW a person was receiving "welfare" (however it is defined)?
I do know that in California, landlords are not legally required to accept Section 8 tenants, because to do so places limits on their ability to make certain charges and rent increases, and mandates a number of repairs and requirements that they might otherwise choose not to make.
I see nothing immoral in a California landlord choosing not to accept Section 8 tenants.

I misunderstood your OP, I thought you meant was it legal for the government to deny services, not individuals or businesses.
