LOL , Yeah Beth I have hijacked the thread. Last comment. We took the glow worm away in February because he was doing the same thing. He has a Pooh Bear now that doesn't do anything.
Why? Admittedly we were recharging the batteries once a week or so but if it meant we didn't have to go in there, we were happy with it. And started sleeping though it... lol

LOL -
We took it away because he would just sit there and push it and he was taking over an hour to fall asleep. And once we took it away he seemed to go to sleep quicker. But now he is back to his old habits. Last night he fell asleep quickly. I don't know if he spent more time outside or what. He ended up sleeping over 11 hrs which is unusal for him. I'm trying to stress and overthink things because I know I've given him the opportunity to sleep, but he was such a horrible sleeper the first 5 months of his life, I have a hard time not stressing when he isn't getting enough sleep.

How old is he now?
Neither of mine were particularly good sleepers until around 10-12 months. And it still goes in streaks. We had an awesome 2 months or so when they both were down from about 8pm-6:45am. But that ended when Caleb started teething again. And Keira's been having nightmares about bugs and monsters off and on for the last few weeks.

He's 17 months. He's been working on getting his canines for like 3 months now. So, I'm thinking that is part of the reason for the length of time it takes for him to fall asleep. If he holds true to his current teething pattern, he'll get all 4 between 18 and 20 months and probably within a week or 10 days. Yeah we definately have stretches where i think I know what's going on and I must be the best mother in the world. LOL and then stretches where crap what I am doing wrong. I really need to stop being a control freak about this and realize that other than giving him the opportunity to sleep, I can't control it.

yeah, I get stretches where I think, 'hey, this isn't so bad, I CAN be a better than decent parent after all!" and then boom, up goes the balloon.
