ok... seriously.. virgil's prank really WAS just a prank. it was not meant to be mean or to harass MU.. and everything was put back just the way it was. i guess though, that harmless practical jokes can't be tolerated...

Yes. You were... *ahem*... well known... among the MSN mods.
But don't you see? You and I are kindred spirits!
We are brothers to be counted among the hopelessly, perversely contentious! Wired to lash out at every abuse of authority, no matter how inconsequential the offense or how unbecoming our involvement.
Embrace me! Brother!

Practical jokes by a person in authority played on someone that does not enjoy similar authority is an abuse of that authority. In my opinion Virgil should choose between being a prankster and being an administrator. Clearly I'm in a tiny minority on this issue. I've been the Lone Ranger before and I can handle being the Lone Ranger again.

Can one be banned due to lack of humor? If one does not share the sense of humor of the people in charge then one can certainly be banned. Whether one deserves to be banned is a separate question.

Yes. In fact I was permanently banned from Denny's because I failed to see the humor in finding a clump of, what appeared to be, pubic hair in my #3 breakfast special. Further proof that just because one does not find a particular event funny, going postal gets you nowhere.

commentator--as a matter of public record:
I regret causing MU any distress. It was not my intent to do so, nor did I have any reasonable expectation that he would find my actions upsetting. My actions were implemented wholly outside my capacity as an administrator. And, having witnessed this unusual aftermath, I will not repeat the prank.
As I see it, this is a matter to be resolved between myself and MU. If you would like to level additional criticisms at me, I kindly ask that you do so using private messages.
Your concern for the board is appreciated.
Regards,
Virgil

Virg, while we're all throwing compliments your way, I'd officially like to commend you for putting the spot price of gold in an enormous banner on MT, so FTI has to scroll past it every day.
In loving regards, traelin0

Virgil always wins. It's just that 90% of the time, the MT community doesn't catch it.

I didn't think Virgil was warring with FTI.
All I know is that FTI has mid and decoy so worked up they don't even know what to do with themselves.
