Will stay with CMFO (China Marine Food) (Long) for this week (same as last). Hope the darn horse comes out slow at the start. Tired of the leapers and faders. Earnings report scheduled to be released, plus the CC.

I will try my luck with NWLNF, New Millennium Capital Corp, a junior Canadian iron mining company, which closed Friday at $4.01. An announcement regarding its partnership with Tata Steel could make or break this one this week. (Hope it is OK to pick a foreign stock that sells for under $5 for this thread.)

CCCL long I'll try this for the contest. I own some of this in real ports. The various price ratios are certainly low enough: P/E 1.18 PEG 0.05 Price/Revenue 0.47 Price/Cash Flow NA Price/Book (MRQ) 0.93 ROA 33.79% ROE 42.98% Current Ratio (MRQ) 1.61 Total Debt/Equity (MRQ) 0.11 NOTE: MRQ - Most Recent Quarter

Long EEV-here's a perfect example of low risk, high reward trading. -every trade i make with real money fits most of these characteristics or rules. -notice the 50 ma. (white moving average is sloping up) -4 hour chart shows almost 2 months back, with real money i use a 130 minute chart for trading -parallel lines are drawn with andrews forks, however, lines can be drawn manually or donchian channels can be used.. -bottom of the channels equal risk, top of the channels equal reward. -with real money i'll risk about a dollar for a 2 dollar reward 33.00 is also the 50 ma on the daily charts... -if or as the trade goes against me i'll increase my position with a 1000 shares at about 33.15, -stop will be about 15 cents below support or about 32.90 -60 to 62% of these trend trades are winners, -if only 50% of these trades were winners this strategy would still make plenty of money because of the favorable risk/reward ratio. -i have software that gives risk and reward with stops and targets programmed in... -if this trade doesn't succeed, no problem, -this is "rule based trading" and the important thing is that the rules are followed.. ---- in the long run these trend trades will succeed and make you plenty of money-----remember if the trade is successful the donchian channel lines and the support lines will move up thus reducing losses or protecting profits... stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=EEV&p=D&yr=0&mn=5&dy=0&id=p86327833495Attachments:

Wow! That is one busy chart! It took me a while to see the candlesticks! Now, I've got to go back to your post and see if I can make heads or tails of your explanation...
And I see you've gone long a "short" ETF!

GG Long Goldcorp
Goldcorp is a gold production company headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. I like the selection because of current geopolitical trends of instability. Goldcorp's price tanked between December and January. My arbitrary reasons for buying it last week (at 43.46, after 2/25 trading hours it's at 46.98 so it has a high relative strength and current price momentum): Short Float 0.54% PEG 0.87 Current Ratio 2.34 Debt/Eq 0.04 EPS next Y 71.31% EPS next 5Y 30.05% Sales Q/Q 28.02% Gross Margin 60.04% Oper. Margin 35.43% Profit Margin 40.78% Short Float 0.54% Short Ratio 0.61 Target Price 60.45
I bought this on Tuesday, before Motley Fool's 2/25 article "Goldcorp Gleams with Golden Promise."

-i forgot to add an exit rule .... -if the trade becomes successful it will up cross and trade above a 4 period ma. -normal trades stay on the up side of a 4 period ma. - however should the trade fall below the 4 ma. - rule is to close the trade at the opening of the next bar or period.... -correct exiting is as important as correct entering.... -this exit rule will save you a bundle and shoot your win-rate way up.... last exit rule is the 10% target rule.... don't be greedy have a GTC sell order set at a 10% profit..... (i don't always follow this rule) sometimes i forget to look at the stock's chart...

long CELG (Celgene Corp.- Biotechnology)
Same pick as last week. I think the stock is selling at a discount to its fair value. My market bias right now is slightly bearish but I couldn't find any shorts I was happy with.

I really do not have a feel for the markets this week, so let me go long with Citi. They performed poorly last week, so maybe they bounce back in spite of theirself.

rovo L TQQQ
I'm expecting a resolution to the problem in Libya this week and I think the market will react in a positive manner. Many other items could derail the markets but I have to make a choice and the trend is still upward.

Too many of mine have jumped to a good lead in the first twenty or so yards and then fall back to the rear before the first pole. Had to send a few to the glue factory. TPI has done that a couple of times, but believe it is a slow, but sure, plodder, just short-winded for a sprint. Will just last longer after many have been put out to pasture. Like the old tortoise and the hare.

Rovo, primarily due to the performance of SRZ today, I was wondering if we could request that the horse race management staff install a sign just above the gate that all horses and their riders pass thru to get to the starting gate. Something like this: " A REMINDER TO ALL HORSES AND THEIR RIDERS......THIS IS A 5 DAY RACE........NOT JUST ONE DAY....THE FINISH LINE IS FRIDAY AFTERNOON." LOL.

Tough day, so far.... looks like the shorts should do fine if the downtrend holds 'til 4pm.
