Any stats proving there are more blacks on aid than whites?

there are more whites on aid than blacks. because there are more whites than blacks in America. however the proportion of whites on aid to the overall white population is way lower than the proportion of blacks on aid to the overall black population. just like the odds are of eastern europeans and hispanics that are under 35 that don't speak english are here illegally.

So from what I am reading,am I to believe there are plenty of jobs out there if you want one? This so called recession is all in Americans heads,all the fundementals are strong,there is no recession? Where have I heard that before?

In some parts of the country there are jobs. Also it's surprising what you can live on (money wise) if you want to & how you can make money. My BIL got by for 10 years without a real job (after the local steel plant closed) & paid house payments all that time. He scrambled & did all sorts of stuff for people but he got by. That's because he wasn't raised with a welfare mentality.

Actually they were blamed in the south many years ago. They were blamed for a lot of stuff. That has mostly died off because most of the hate mongers died off. The one area of the population that hasn't let up on that stuff & has even gotten worse are the liberals. That's because they need to say it over & over & over to push their agendas. They need people to hate others so that they won't actually look at the facts. I have to say it's a brilliant plan to because it works. Just look around these boards & you will hear the same inaccurate facts about conservatives being posted at least weekly but sometimes daily.
How often have you heard the phrase "Baby Killers" thrown around in reference to a political party that is AGAINST abortion, by a party that is pro choice?
How often have you heard that Republicans want to cut out welfare, social security, unemployment, Medicare, & benefits for the handicapped?
All untrue but all were designed to scare liberals about conservatives & conservative ideas. I used to think that liberals were just people that cared for others to the point of not being practical. As I spend more time on these boards I'm starting to change that belief to liberals are just very naive & gullible people that believe most things that they are told without checking facts. Of course that's just what I think & everybody knows that I'm a baby killer.

Huh? I only blame one black for bankrupting the country, and he's not on welfare, though he does get paid by the government...

To add to the mini discussion about welfare people working, I ran across this blip. I'm not saying it's true, just an interesting perspective.

Roosevelt’s New Deal Ended the Depression
It has been taught for over seventy years that FDR was responsible for ending the Great Depression of the thirties by enacting a dearth of government spending programs collectively known as the “New Deal”. In fact, the success of FDR’s massive spending programs is often pointed to by advocates of big government today as evidence that massive infusions of federal spending is the best hope for the poor, and has been the impetus behind some of the largest federal entitlement programs in history, from Medicare and Medicaid to welfare and food stamps. While no one can fault FDR for his noble intentions in wanting to ease the suffering of many people in this country, the New Deal actually demonstrated that the government that does the least to “fix” the problem actually does the most good by simply letting economic and financial forces heal themselves.

I've read something similar and I believe that this came up before the Bush/Obama bailouts and stimulus spending hit in earnest. The mantra from a few on the left was that the new deal only dragged out the recession because FDR didn't spend enough....aka they believe that if FDR blew more dough, we would have recovered quicker.
