Now you can use a credit card responsibly and pay it off every month and accrue benefits but not interest. So it might not be your last payment ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

meghan, are you the same poster who was living with her husband in one of their parents basements when she first posted on YM? I seem to remember someone living out west, going to school, tithing heavily, and determined not to have a child despite what might be read into the tithe. She didn't have a whole lot of income or discretionary income but she definitely was organized.

It must have been a different poster with a similar nick. I take it that none of the rest matches either.

I've been racking benefits and paying it off every month. Honestly, I could have had this last card paid off at some point last year, if I were willing to sacrifice personal savings, having a life, wine, my stress levels, etc. It's the anti-YM, but I was okay with a few extra bucks in interest in exchange for not harming myself.

Isn't it a good feeling that instead of all the excuses like SOME poster we know, you just put your nose to the grindstone like Indebt is doing and getting it done. Save some of that newly freed up cash for an EF and treat yourself as wll.

Congratulations meghan! That's great. Doesn't it feel good? I made my last payment in February. What a relief that was.

Save some of that newly freed up cash for an EF and treat yourself as wll. I have to admit that indebt has been truly amazing in her/his quest. I picked a dollar amount to pay each month that was big enough to make a dent, but not so big that I couldn't enjoy myself. Indebt is just going for gusto and doing a much better job than I ever could have!

I don't know why I got the idea that INDEBT was a woman. I rarely look at the gender sign but certainly meant no offense by it.

Congratulations to you, Meghan.
Mine are all paid of also. Now I pay with either debit cards or credit cards to get cash rewards and pay off the CC each month.

Yay Meghan!!! Like Gardening Grandma asked, what's next?! More wine? ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Hookers and blow, my friend. Hookers and blow. Well, aside from the obvious of increasing all my different allocated savings (personal, 403b, etc.), my immediate "what's next?" is setting money aside for two new crowns. I'm a party animal! ![](http://us.social.s-msn.com/s/images/emoticons/74_74.gif)

I prefer my crowns to have a large diamond right in front with smaller diamonds in descending sizes in a wrap around style.

I prefer my crowns to have a large diamond right in front with smaller diamonds in descending sizes in a wrap around style. LMAO! Maybe I'll ask my dentist for some grillz instead! And yes, more wine! Always more wine! My 30th is coming up and I'm planning on drinking a nicer than usual bottle. I joke and take everything lightly, but there is one thing that's amazing to me now that I have this debt gone. If anything were ever to happen to BF, I can now afford to live on my own. Sure, I might have to downgrade from the one-bedroom to a studio, but theoretically, I'm okay. It's very liberating realizing that I can do it on my own, if necessary. Granted, that guy is stuck with me for life, but it's still weirdly reassuring that I don't have to crash on someone's couch if shit ever hit the fan.
