Leave the man be. Many of us are gratified to learn there are still some straight men in NYC.

Actually I think you are jealous that I have a Love Nest and you don't.
I believe Self-Love Nest would be a more accurate term.

You have to wait until late spring, I get hotter CHICKS with skimpy clothing, 365 days a year. The worst is they all want me and I have to refuse.

Does anyone under 65 still call girls "chicks"? That sounds like one of those things that those lame-ass hippy baby boomers do. It was the least derogatory word I could come up with. I was going to use "broads", but I find that designation offensive. Uh oh....is the term "broads" derogatory? I'm a mid-50's female and I use that word all the time to refer to my friends. Political correctness gives me a pain, square in the ass.

I say "bitches" or "whores". Is that worse than "broads"?

You know what I've always wondered, why is women ok but woman isn't? If I talk about a group of women by calling them women I'm good. If I talk about my wife and call her woman I get called a pig. Makes no damn sense.

I'm not a huge pot roast fan, but I have gotten the stink eye from her friends for saying, "Woman, get me a beer!"

When BF and I were first dating he walked into my apartment after work (I always left the door unlocked for him) and said "woman! where's my dinner?!" I made pasta. WTF is wrong with me?

No, actually Bitches and whores (or ho's) is a tad vulgar for me. I prefer harridan, harpy, slattern, fishwife, guttersnipe... I have a similar choice array for men. Bad temper serves me well. Tough....love the litany of terms. It's much more fun to utilize the more creative nouns as they often leave the recipient a bit speechless if not entertained.

Guys STILL use the term "chicks"?!? Really?!? I prefer "lady". Shows more respect. Tough times: I love your vocabulary. I do my best not to use vulgar terms around the kids, but since I've worked at a company where semi drivers frequently made deliveries to, I've learned some "colorful terms" over time that referred to both men & women.

In the office, the politically correct terms are Skirts or Wildlife. During happy hour and such it's a lot more vulgar. 'Chicks' is still a frequently used term though.

I like wildlife. It can be used safely and nicely by both genders.

Yes, but "ladies" has a creepiness to it. There is a local radio show guy who mostly gets male callers, and when a woman calls he always says "OOOH, a Laady"...cracks me up every time. On the flip side, I used to work with a super creepy guy who always referred to his live-in girlfriend as "my lady"....it was really gross. One of my best friends always introduces my boyfriend by saying "This is GSBRQ's man", and has been known to introduce friends' girlfriends as "She is X's woman".

DH will from, time to time, bellow that exact directive......I always run right to the fridge....grab a can of beer....shake it vigorously....and deliver said beverage to the lord and master......heee hee hee

I've been trying to get Fiance on board with throwing out the occasional, "B!tch, make me a chicken pot pie!" It makes me laugh. We don't even stock chicken pot pies. I just like saying it.

I call my female friends bitches...I think of it as a term of endearment...and with most of my friends, it's a pretty accurate statement

I call my female friends bitches...I think of it as a term of endearment...and with most of my friends, it's a pretty accurate statement I don't get that at all. No one refers to me that way more than once unless we are fighting. There is no circumstance I consider it friendly or loving to be called a bitch or whore or 'ho or any of the other derogatory terms. My friends respect that thank goodness. Well I guess it's not an accident. If they don't, they aren't my friends.
