Could we have different threads for each question?

Hi guys,
We aren't the busiest board around so I was hoping we could make different threads for each frugal question of the day. They could be titled "FQ for 1/1/11" "FQ for 2/1/11" etc.
I HATE trying to read through a thread that has gotten fairly long before I get to it and try to find today's question. It's frustrating. I end up not participating in something I actually find interesting. Thanks for considering it.

I like that idea too. Or if not every day having its own thread, maybe every week.

I Like the idea of different threads. The days responses are getting mixed up, which isn't a bad thing but with separate threads we might get more of a discussion going.

What's everyone else think? I'm easy --- if we want different threads, that works fine. If a weekly thread, that'd work. Can some others chime in?

I'm pretty intimidated and don't really want to wade through all that... but if it's kept to one a day, I'd actually read and probably participate!

it hogs up more forum space with single threads for each day for how many topics?

I am ok w/ 1/day or 1/week. I can understand re: hogging up forum space BUT anything >1week old would pretty much drop off the 1st page.

Us having more threads won't interfere with any other boards. If you label the threads clearly people know what they are responding too. I am sure I am not the only person that does not like to jump into long chat threads. I am sure it is discouraging participation from some that remain lurkers.

Some of the boards I have seen even have new chat threads everyday. They are all labelled with the date. They got a lot of participation. I suspect that the regulars here really don't want to do that. But I really think individual threads for the daily questions is a good idea.

Good Idea! I don't participate on threads that are long and have been going on for a while before I look at them. I guess that's why I never got caught up in some of the WIR threads.
