The article reminds us how the media went into overdrive when Bush made a remark about loosening gun restrictions, but has been struck completely dumb about Obama's remarks. Manassas, VA --(Ammoland.com)- “I just want you to know that we are working on it,” Barack Obama told Sarah Brady regarding gun control. “We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar,” Obama said according to Brady.
This interesting bit of news was reported in an April 11 Washington Post Lifestyle section story about Obama’s gun control and regulatory policy wonk Steve Croley. Toward the end of the article the writer, Jason Horowitz, mentioned a March 30 meeting between Jim and Sarah Brady and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney during which the President “dropped in.” He then quotes Sarah Brady relating how President Obama gave his personal assurance that he and his administration were working hard on a gun control agenda. Brady reported that Obama then told them about advancing the agenda “under the radar.”

It's late, the board is slow, and you have the place all to yourself, Lakota., so why not use the time to do what you do best. Just go ahead and make snotty post after after snotty post. You can turn them into a conversation with yourelf, if you'd like.

Ammo Land published this, gun sales must be slacking off. Every time something like this is reported, gun sales go up.

There is an old saying "The person that turns their swords to plowshares soon become slaves for the ones that did not."

I have nothing to worry about. Even if I turned half of my swords into plowshares, I would still have more swords than I can carry.

If there is anything to this the NRA will let me know. I will wait to see what they say before getting worried about it.

I don't think this country will allow that. They can TRY... It's been happening for sometime now. They have these programs that get people desperate to turn in their guns in exchange for a 250 money card they can spend anywhere. This is just one way they are disarming the people. Fooling them into thinking it's for their own good, only later to find out when your cities and towns have no weapons to fight the military and government for when they decide to take completely over your lives.

It's kind of amazing that people believe that making it harder for somebody to purchase a gun legally will cut down on the number of people who get weapons illegally and use them for illegal reasons.

One example of Obama working under the radar to disarm America was when he, in an unprecedented anti-gun, , , , nay, anti American move, something no president has ever even come close to, refused to allow nearly a million of the rifles that won WWII for America to be collected by American citizens. www.realnewsreporter.com/?p=2977

It’s the manufacurers like Springfield Armory. I own an old M1 that I converted. I also remember you could buy them out of a grease barrel for $15.

Our local sporting goods store has them (the Garrand) on sale this week. That's the 3rd time that I've notice them being sold there.

LOL! Are you suggesting that people would never sell their guns for money, even during tough economic times, unless there was some sort of "deception" taking place?
I'm sure those that decided they needed money more than a gun made that decision all by themselves without any coercion.
