I would prefer people do a little research and read the scientific findings on their own, then come to their own conclusion as opposed to blindly following a politician and their political ideology. You're giving the "benefit of doubt" to the conclusion straight from the Al Gore book of global warming, which is based on faulty and manipulated scientific data...and that is not blindly following a politician and their political ideology.....how?

The crushing economic sanctions the global warming crowd wants to put on American business (i.e. Cap and Trade) will cause us to lose A LOT, primarily to international competition who have no such restrictions. Not to mention all the nickel and dime "green taxes" the liberals are licking their chops over, as yet another way to squeeze every possible penny out of American taxpayers. If anthropogenic global warming is proven to be false, I would expect massive class action suits on behalf of consumers and businesses that will suffer under misguided Democrat attempts to tax "global warming" out of existence...

"So again, for any who may have missed it; "Global Warming" actually refers to the rise in ocean temperature. "
Interesting experiment for those who think there is nothing to worry about. Fill a container half way with water then add a lot of ice. Take the temperature of the water and begin to heat the container. Continue taking the temperature/recording at a regular interval. Notice what happens to the rate of temperature rise after the last of the ice melts. If you graph the results you'll see that the temp rose at an increasing rate as the ice melted and then spiked drastically after the last of the ice melted. SO my prediction, the non-believers will become believers once the glaciers are gone, of course by then it will be to late to do anything about it.
"we all want green grass, clean water, clean air"
Well which is it, do yo want green grass or clean air and clean water?
"Did we learn nothing from the buffalo hunters of early America?"
Good point, we did learn lessons here in America and enacted clean air and water standards. We put labor laws in place to protect our work force. Unfortunately China and India haven't learned those lessons yet which is why a number of our industries are moving to Asia. So far capitalism hasn't figured out a way to level a global playing field.

So by not wanting to dismiss the whole concept because someone contrived data, and looking to seek information from other scientist and data is giving the benefit of doubt to the Al Gore book of Global Warming? Keep those blinders on they seem to be working for you.
Wow that pendulum really swings from one side to the other. Acknowledging the problem and implementing crushing economic sanctions are two different things.
You can't ignore or pretend a problem doesn't exist because you are afraid of what the solution entails. I would much rather the US makes an educated decision to ignore the consequences of keeping the status quo as opposed to trying to pretend that it's not real.

So by not wanting to dismiss the whole concept Stop right there. I'm not saying to dismiss the whole idea....more like proceed with caution and don't lobby for government to force us all to put the cart before the horse. Ah...Alinski rules of projection in play? accuse me of wearing blinders when I say question the conclusion based on faulty science that you accept as fact. It seems to be you with the blinders on, but go ahead and blame me if you wish. I can handle it. Or you can "create" a problem in order to rally for more government. Science is still divided on exactly what the problem is as well as the cause of any such problem.

Exactly. What is creating the problem is that "global warming" has become a religion, and like all religions, there are certain types of zealots and adherents who are no longer interested in the science, only the dogma...thus, creating government requirements to deal with this "problem" is at best a conflict of religion and state...

Right inaction is better, Lets wait until it has been proven without a shadow of doubt and everyone agrees (hopefully there is a planet left, or people for that matter), as opposed to starting to take action now and phase in changes. Changes that we are going to have to make just keep up with other countries.
I don't accept the faulty science as fact, I just don't dismiss the science that is valid because someone else faked their data.
Blame you?? Wow you think this all centers around you? I don't blame you you, I disagree with you.
Putting the climate change issue aside, the US still needs to produce cleaner fuels, reduce waist and reduce pollution and protect it's natural resources. These are problems that are not disputed.
Throw in that a majority of scientists believe that all of this is causing climate change makes these issues of the utmost importance.
We will have to wait and see how everything plays out in the near and distant future.

But, leave it to a global warming alarmist to cherry pick what they want to come to a faulty conclusion. Who woulda thunk?

Here is the quote in full;
Again I don't blame you for anything, I accuse you of "wearing blinders" and imply that your not willing to see anything other then how there was some faulty science.
Blame doesn't really make sense, I don't blame any one person.
This didn't make sense either.

As greenhouse pollution continues to build in the atmosphere, 2010 is entering the history books as the hottest year on record. A year of unprecedented extreme weather disasters, 2010 saw tens of thousands of people killed and millions affected by our increasingly dangerous climate.] "hottest year on record" "unprecedented extreme weather disasters" "tens of thousands of people killed and millions affected" "increasingly dangerous climate" Oh, the horrific heartbreaking horrible heights of hyperbole! The inhumanity! The rhetoric! Jeeze, who writes this crap.
