I'm cold blooded on terrorism. I hate that guy. He is the lone killer recruiter, the panty bomber, Hassan, internet recruiter, American prison recruiter. I want him dead. Think of it this way. Libs don't like Gitmo-- Obama is again talking shutting it down. Many libs seem to want terrorists in American jails, courts, prisons. I don't want that man anywhere NEAR our prisoners or courts, because I don't trust it would be swift or fair justice. That is true to my original stance, no flip-flop required.. As I see it, it is not Obama being a terror hero-- it is Obama playing politics. How can he appease his base about Gitmo if he puts him there? The politically expedient thing to do is just to kill him. For a minute here his base will mostly approve cold blooded murder. Obama does not do ANYTHING without thinking about 2012. Never let a good opportunity go to waste.......... I an sorry, I read it twice , and they mock some of my posts, I have no clue what you are talking about here, except, you want some one dead, you like gitmo, you don';t want prisoners from gitmo near American Prisoners, something to do with swift justice,[we seem to hope for justice, swift, eeeh}flip/flop? original stance? you see obama as a terror hero? he plays politics.{He is a politician} puts who were? Best to just kill him , who ever? Illegal to just kill some one. Obama is thinking about 2012. Possible among other things.. No clue at all what this is all about. I guess I should have scrolled but if I did, then probably just more of the same. Please , no more.

I would suggest you read the thread if you are confused about the topic, Dez. Possibly skip my posts since you don't like them.

Some few need to grow up, and stop this childish squabbling that takes over almost every thread, piss and moan bitch and whine, mainly without substance nor reason. It's getting a bit old, isn't it?

Well I skimmed all 4 pages of this thread & can only say wow. No comment except that on most of it.
It is extremely rare, if not unprecedented, for an American to be approved for targeted killing, officials said. A former senior legal official in the administration of George W. Bush said he did not know of any American who was approved for targeted killing under the former president. . . .
I feel that if someone is a terrorist & in another country they can be targeted (even if they are American). We have already seen that if someone's over there & running around doing bad things they can be very hard to find, capture, & bring back for trial. So why bother. Kill the sucker. They have already declared war on us & killing someone in war is exceptable. This is not a Democratic or Republican matter. It's a matter for the President to decide on (no matter what party they are in) & the American people should back that decision (but they usually don't).
It's a sad (but true) fact that with all of our freedom we have somehow translated it into believing that we have the right to know everything that our President knows. That's not true. Much of his knowledge if made public would damage this country.
As for lying. The bottom line about truth is that it is what someone believes & the same holds true for "facts". I believe that just about everything that any President says holds some truth in it (if possible). I tend to agree with a line in a movie that says "You can't handle the truth" & that really applies to the American people. To be President you have to "stroke" the American people the way that you would a 2 year old. Even then they are fickle & will turn on you in a heartbeat (at least 50% of them will, the other 50% didn't like you in the first place). Anyway as for President Obama's statements I realize that something that sound to me as complete hogwash from his point of view he might view as true. (He & I agree on just about nothing). I do find it interesting that to a lot of posters here everything is totally 100% black & white. Sure it is to me too but I do understand that from the other side of the political spectrum they see something totally different. I get the impression that very few people look at it that way. I also think that it can be very frustrating to keep repeating what we think is a fact & have others appear to not understand it or see it as something totally different. I get frustrated too & for the same reason & maybe more than most because I'm not as articulate as some posters here. Just my thoughts.

Retired General Doesn't Give Obama Much Credit for Killing Osama The killing of Osama bin Laden is a great feat for the U.S. Navy SEALs, but its overcall significance is being “overblown” and it certainly won’t end the war on terror, retired Brig. Gen. Albin Irzyk told Newsmax.TV.Irzyk, who served in World War II and the Vietnam War, said the May 1-2 operation in which bin Laden was executed was a “very, very meaningful mission,” but he cautioned against exaggerating its importance politically.“I think we’ve overblown it,” Irzyk said. “He’s one individual and yes, apparently he was the mastermind of the 9/11 operations . . . [But] as time went on, I think his effectiveness had abated.”
The highly decorated veteran said President Barack Obama should be given credit for making the decision to order the raid but that other presidents have had to make much tougher calls that had much greater impact on the world.
“It’s the first decision he’s made as president. In his background, he’s never had to make a serious decision,” Irzyk said.“He made a great decision, but it’s not earthshaking. Truman and the atomic bombing — that was an earthshaking decision. What about Eisenhower kicking off the Normandy invasion — that was an earthshaking decision.”
