So what's the Reader's Digest version of what all those videos say?

So what's the Reader's Digest version of what all those videos say? Watch and listen to the Videos about the economy in CA, and the things that are coming. Kinda scary, but people should prepare for what's headed our way here in California. S510 is a bill hidden under another bill that prohibits people from growing their own food.

The Mormons have it right. One year's supplies of EVERYTHING. I don't have time now to watch the videos, but if the gist is no food, and no growing food allowed.. the Fema, martial law makes sense. Crud-- people will flood in to AZ to escape it. I'll watch later.

KK: S510 is a bill hidden under another bill that prohibits people from growing their own food.
I honestly cant see how they could get away with something like that. I know that many lawmakers on both sides favor their own power over the constitution. But if that were to reach the supreme court, I think that it would be thrown out (I hope).
P.S. I did not watch the videos, things are really moving slow tonight.

Corn is in 4000 different items in our stores and 30% of that is being used for ethanol. I know Glenn Beck sounds like a nut from time to time, but he is making sense about some of the stuff he said would be and is coming our way with very high prices on food, gas, utilities etc. I personally believe we are headed for a very bad Great Depression. One that will hurt much worse because our population growth is much, much bigger than it was back in 1928.

California has thousands of acres of illegal marijuana crops growing that law enforcement can't properly track ~ I'm not terribly worried that they'll find my tomato stash. Besides, there's a whole industry out there helping certain people grow certain types of plants indoors, anyway.

It's about selling veggies, not growing. Panicked sky is falling misled should get a grip. The sky is not falling, unless the panicked austerity to get elected and ruin the safety net liars get their austerity way, like some examples in Europe, KILLING the recovery...so far so good!! Pfffft!

Ahhh ... the old "possession for sale" vs. "possession for personal use" quandary, huh?

Besides, there's a whole industry out there helping certain people grow certain types of plants indoors, anyway. If it's that bad then I don't see why they just don't make marijuana farms legal, then tax them, and just allow them to sell to the clinics - I mean, medical marijuana is legal there now. It's alot easier to go after the little guy. I doubt if your garden has booby traps set up and you probably don't have any full auto AK-47s in your closet. Doesn't really matter if they're growing it inside. "See Something, Say Something"?

What a bunch of crap. So what if Albertsons is closing, most of them here in Texas have gone out of business because they bait and switch and are known to overcharge items. The stores have a terrible reputation here with poor service and selection. You always have to check your tape at Albertsons. Good riddance.
I will never buy food at Target or Wal-Mart and don’t care if their food shelves are empty. Our Target stores are busy so are all the Wal-Marts.

Have an item on sale, sale out then replace it with a different item for a slightly higher price. It's very common in the supermarket business. You aren't looking at the big picture here. Now that Albertson is gone, which supermarket is next on the chopping block. You might not like Walmart, but government backs Walmart and finances them, and eventually Walmart will be the only retailer/supermarket left in America. So where will you shop at then. a lot of people that claim they do not shop at Walmart, have shopped at Walmart at least once or more times. If Walmart is all you have in your town, where are you going to be shopping at? One World Government is happening, there just happen to be a few out there that can't see what is unfolding and happening right before their eyes. You say you will never buy food at a Target or a Walmart, but one day you will. You won't have much of a choice in the matter.

I haven't read the bill nor watched the videos, but I can tell you right now, NO ONE is going to stop me from growing my own food, nor participating in farmer's markets, nor trading livestock, nor collecting and trading seeds. NO FRICKEN NO ONE!!!! LOL! I'm with you. It's almost like trying to suck the last bit of self sufficiency out of you. It's scary sad.

You say you will never buy food at a Target or a Walmart, but one day you will. You won't have much of a choice in the matter. I don't agree , while the food business is very competitive, areas I have lived in seem to have very good superior successful stores, thinking Randall's in Texas area, think in some other closely located States too, though Texas seems big enough to survive if it's just a small regional, and in Florida, Publics is doing just fine. Publics is owned by employees, closed stock deal plus held by others too and very Strong and successful, strong enough actually to have in my area, two /all natural full service large stores specializing with just the all natural in the stores, naturally a lot of those items in their regular stores and I believe Randall's is family owned, held off for years not carrying beer and wine, one of the sons of the family perished in a car accident because of that item, alcohol related, whether the son or a driver impaired, they changed that some years ago. Both have higher prices , but promote good sales, Publics lots of 2/1 and yes in canned goods , walmart cheaper, but for me, usually to much trouble to go there, Publics, think they will be around a long time. New England has a very strong chain too if I remember from back in the day,, think still the dominate one, "stop and Shop ", and I am sure others around the country, doing very, very well. Forever? Who knows, who thought A and P would every go under and disappear , so much so I guarantee there are younger ones here who in reading this post are muttering , A and P, who they. {They were the largest retailer in the World and not 100 years ago either, now almost forgotten. Colleges in their business model of studying in business classes used them as a study group, how successful they were to so dominate}

Nope, I have the same problem. I think it's because my crappy AT & T DSL is so freaking slow.

Ive said it many times and I feel I must say it again. CA's financial problems have much to do with the fact that we have the largest illegal alien population. Here in CA, entry level jobs such as busing tables, dish washing, car washes, fast food jobs, etc, are filled by illegal immigrant labor. On top of them taking these jobs, they have many American born children and through these children, they qualify for free medical, food stamps, housing subsidies, welfare, WIC, and of course, free education. Illegal immigrants typically do not pay property taxes which go to fund public schools. The situation here is dire and unsustainable, yet our politicians will do NOTHING about it, nor will they even give any recognition to the problem. In fact, they do the opposite and encourage the illegals by making them out to look like victims who should be compensated and legalized. They raise our taxes to astronomical levels in order to keep subsidizing the illegals (my opinion) It is a sad state we are living in. I love CA but the first chance I get, I will be moving away.
