I know there are a handful of musical types around here! Thought it'd be fun to post what you've been playing/singing with whatever group you're with, or whatever you like playing by yourself!
I just played Mozart's Requiem on good friday for the first time (violinist). I've been singing it since I was 12ish but I'd never played it until this year... what a rush!! I only took about a month to learn the whole thing before the performance and I did pretty well, but next year I'll have it down pat & really nail it.
In the quartet I play with we're doing Hadyn's "The Lark", which is nice, albeit little challenging especially for the first violin (I play second)

I'm going to be starting work on Schubert's Mass in G for early June at church! I think I played this way back in the day.. so hopefully it'll come back to me easily!

Cael (my soon to be ex NE neighbor): I heard about Girl Talk back in November when he released his All Day project. BTW, it's available to download for free on his website. An example of his music is that he took an 80s track, laid it over a Beatles hook and had a rap song as the lyrics. Here is the crazy part, he makes it all blend in nicely. I know a little about mixing and scratching so you have no idea how difficult this is to do. His work blows my mind like whoa!
