I know the area well. I used to work next door to the golf course location.

I am surprised the suspect got as far as he did before being stopped. Highway 714 is a good 40 miles from the golf course.

The Dems in congress need to submit the “save Donald Trump” bill requiring people who have mental health problems to not be able to buy guns.

This last shooter may have mental issues, IDK, but I am not taking Fox news as source on anyone's mental health. I think the first shooter had been bullied and was upset, but I do not believe all shooters must have mental health issues. I think it plays into the GOP projection if we believe and repeat that. Because then it's never about the guns, it's always the people who use them.

The first shooter used dad's legally obtained gun. I think we need common sense gun laws.

So this I guy has a long history of arrests and mental health issues. Was originally a Trump supporter, then switched to Nicki Haley. Apparently a Ukrainian super supporter.

The really interesting thing, to me, is how he got a weapon in Florida. With his criminal/mental health history he shouldn’t have been able to get one. Not sure if he could have smuggled it in his checked luggage from Hawaii? I’m guessing it was most likely he got one in Florida, which was illegal, so I’d like to know who sold that to him.

I thought you could take your guns across state lines as long as you can legally own somewhere in America.

What's the stipulation of the Florida law? If you own the gun or buy it somewhere else do you get to bring it to and keep it in Florida?

Maybe Florida will need to come up with something for gun owership like Texas is working on for women who go out of state to have an abortion:

He made his first appearance in federal court this morning. No, he was not shot and there was no chase. He was captured during a felony stop without a shot fired.
