I don't know where all this laundry comes from. We generally wear one outfit per day.
Speak for yourself ...I have a teen and tween girl. Teen's hoodie sweatshirts are one load per week by themselves. Plus she's def in the stage of trying on clothes in the morning, ditching them and wearing something else. I just don't have the energy to gripe at her about it when she's killing it at school and theater and so, so busy and stressed. Tween plays sports so there are practice items and jerseys to wash. She ditches her school uniform as fast as she can after school so there are a daily set of play clothes. She does save laundry by not wearing pjs. She likes to sleep pretty alfresco ROFL. Even DH often comes home and changes from his work shirt...many days there is preschool food and boogers on them By working from home, I can usually get by with the same outfit all day. I had a hour training video today and my analyst randomly texted me that she was folding laundry during it. I was like, score, and hung up about 75% of what I needed to.

My winter uniform is hoodie and yoga pants so that might be part of it. Summer laundry is definitely less. My second load is in the washer.
The afternoon plan is to attack the paper. It got way out of hand after I cleaned up the desks and tables in mid December. I just didn't care.

Welp, my house is getting an unexpected extra deep clean this weekend... There is a lice outbreak at DS2's school (where I sub several days a week). I thought we would avoid it because he's a boy with short, fine hair. Spoiler Alert: we did not, in fact, avoid it. My friend texted me in a panic last night that she had found bugs in her sons hair so I was like, let's go ahead and check DS2 just to be safe. A few moments in and I found the first bug. We immediately went to get NIX and treat him and started the painful process of bagging all the plush toys, vacuuming all the things, and the laundry pile in my laundry room right now is a mountain. My sister, bless her heart, came over last night at 10 p.m. to check my hair, my husbands eyes suck and honestly he has no clue what he's looking for. I have about 10 lbs of hair on my head too. I almost died when she walked in my door with a shower cap over her head haha. She spent quite a while in my hair and didn't find anything, but we went ahead and treated my hair as well since I am in that building. They really just need to shut the school down for a day or 2 and fumigate. They said they have a company arranged to come, but it wont be for a couple weeks. I fear by then, this might get out of control. So, keep me in your thoughts over the weekend as I battle these nasty little buggers for the first time as a parent.

Why no hot water startsmart ? That's hard, especially in winter. I have the same question. This isn't the first time it's been mentioned.

my mother has rallied and was discharged from rehab back to her assisted living apartment. crisis averted for now. Also been working on my big RI project the past few weeks while juggling all the visiting, coordinations, etc. Crisis averted for the present, and starting to dig out.
Was trying to just quickly throw the kitchen together - wash dishes, put stuff away, wipe counter and the sink did need a good scrub. Somehow, I got sucked into cleaning the food processor base and spent like 20 minutes on it. Scrapping under the spinner thingy with my fingernail while wiping and scrubbing it for about 8 or more whole minutes, lol. That is my achilles heel in cleaning, So the FP base is sparkling clean and then started scrubbing the walls and backsplash area.....so only a third to half the kitchen got done....
Takog a break!

Your mother sounds AMAZING Rukh O'Rorke ! Going back to assisted living at 100!!! We had some amazing news tonight ... DS1/DDIL/E/I are moving back to France! It has been in process but I didn't want to post until it was sure. They'll move at the end of the year. We were so surprised when they told us they were looking! I guess two former humanitarian aid workers don't stay in one place for long. They're NOT moving to Paris. They'll be a 5.5h drive from us, and 1h from DD. Longer for us than taking the Eurostar to London, but shorter than driving there.

Having them all in one country is a dream I will never achieve and I only have the two kids...

So glad for you, debthaven. Having your family close(r) is a blessing. I miss DS. I need to plan a visit to Denver to see him asap. It's been far too long.

My parents never approved of my move to Colorado. I never talked to them about the reasons for the move. I needed to be me and I had to go far away in order to do that. It was the best thing I ever did for myself.

debthaven -- Wonderful news about the family moving back home even if it is several hours away. Rukh O'Rorke --Glad a little of the pressure is easing up. TheOtherMe -- My parents weren't happy when I moved into an apartment by myself. It made my commute to work so much easier as I had less traffic to fight each day. It also taught me to be ok living by myself which is a valuable skill set. It made my current living situation so much easier to adjust to when my DH died. I do worry about my DSis and also a friend who have never lived alone. Thankfully both of their husbands are still alive but also both have some medical issues they are dealing with. Iggy aka IG -- About not seeing the tag people icon. I didn't see it on the quick reply page but located it on the reply section. I use my computer and not the phone to post almost 100% of the time. Not sure if this helps with the issue you have been having. Things are still about the same here. I was able to renew my driver's license yesterday so that is off my chore list. Need to log into my global entry account and update that info before I leave for my trip. Hope to get that done later today. Done. Once I located my login info it was an easy fix. I have several meetings at church this week so I am not sure what I can get done other than the usual maintenance chores and errands. Take care all.

My crud turned out to be, or morphed into, pneumonia. Not a lot is getting done around the house and that is okay. Today I did get the sheets changed and three loads of laundry done. The wastebaskets have also been emptied and the garbage taken out. The is pretty much my weekly minimum to get done including litter box maintenance. The wastebaskets were overflowing with kleenix so they definitely needed to be emptied. Today's lunch was clean the fridge. I cooked a small baked potato which I topped with the last of the cottage cheese, then added in the last of the asparagus. I was still hungry so topped the last bit of egg noodles that were left over from beef strogranoff with the last bit of spaghetti sauce. Who says spaghetti sauce needs to be eaten on spaghetti noodles The fridge is now cleaned out and the empty containers are in the dishwasher.

TheOtherMe thank you for asking. Yes I'm slowly starting to feel better. Last night was the best nights sleep I've had in a long while. I was awakened a few times with coughing but not the almost all night coughing fits I had been having.

I've found the dessert for the party. It's a local baker. I'm pretty excited. They're deep dish cookies. We're going to get these flavors. Normally, I'd not get so many lemon ones, but it is a lemon-themed party.
Raspberry Lemon
Lemon cupcake
cherry lemonade
lemon cheesecake
chocolate lover's
lemon crush
lemon bar
Midnight Magic
Turtle
Peanut Butter Nutter

Today I did a little bit of puttering around the house and got a few more things straightened around. I went through my cookbooks and found a few more to donate. In reality I could probably get rid of all but 3 or 4 of them and be just fine but some of them are unusual so I keep them around even if they are never used. I just keep telling myself it's a process and each time I go through them I'm able to let a few more go out the door. I also did some filing and cleaned out a few files. The shredder was filled a couple of times so more paperwork out the door. The bathrooms were also cleaned, the litter box cleaned and a load of towels washed/dried and put away. The dishwasher also was ran and emptied.

My organizer is returning to be her nurse practioner career. She is now doing appointments with the organizer who she will be referring clients to. I wondered if something was up when she didn't know what her schedule would be in April, after I return from Canada.
She said she is bored and I'm sure she is. She said is was great she was able to be a SAHM while her 3 kids were young, but the youngest started pre school this year, so it's not enough.
Her husband is a pulmonologist. He is the only pulmonologist in town. The hospital his group is associated with is having major financial problems and was taken over by the medical group. After going over their financial situation, the group laid off a bunch of doctors. He stayed because he is the only pulmonologist in town. Two hospitals and he does float between the two.
I'm sad but I understand. Will have to check out the background on the organizer where she is referring clients.
It helped me a lot while it lasted.

All last week was a wash. I just was off, my sleep schedule was jacked, and the weather didn't help any.
Today I actually managed to wake up early and take a shower.
Plan is to get dishes done.
I still need to set up the new printer so that is on the list for this week.
I need to fold and put away laundry too.

debthaven -- Trip is over a month away but anything I can get off my need-to-do list will make life easier as it gets closer. Decluttered a bit from my sinking funds as I mailed off my taxes this morning. Also ran a few errands after the post office but skipped some others as it started raining and I didn't feel like dodging raindrops. At least those errands can wait until later in the week.

TheOtherMe any chance she could come one more time? I'd definitely try the new person! Having someone was such a big help to you! Well I wanted more hours, and I got them LOL. Five hours on Zoom today (so I have a headache), and six next Monday. I have three additional (long) half-days through early April, mostly at Job 2. I will be VERY busy till then. I hate how it's always feast or famine. I'm not happy with so many extra hours. Yes I wanted some, but not this many. Since I'm doing more hours than planned, I'll probably give up any regular classes after this semester.

She is booked and then going to Disney World before she starts her new job, so it's not possible. Plus I don't like her coming here right after she returns from vacations. I need to be well for my trip to Toronto, even though some people (not family) are telling me not to go because Ontario is being worse than the CDC. I haven't been out of state for 2 years. Only saw my Toronto family when they came here. I've decided to take my chances. I have better masks now and air purifiers that I am taking along with me.
If my J acts like he did last night, I may be returning to my hotel early. That's not what I hope happens but I'm not staying around for a toddler fit where he is hitting his parents. I don't want them to think I am judging them because I never had kids and I want them to be able to deal with it freely. Wouldn't surprise me if the first time he tries this, he doesn't like that I'm leaving and that will stop him until I leave.
He had gone ice skating yesterday and almost fallen asleep on the way home. Of course, he wouldn't go to sleep when they got home and said he had been very cranky since they got home. Bed was mentioned and he went ballistic.

TheOtherMe yes I can but the risk is that I'll eventually be considered less "relevant" ... I'll probably take that risk at this point.
