Her hand sure wasn't forced for all to see during the Beetlejuice musical. Lauren Boebert made a mess in her congressional district. She’s fleeing to a new one.
It's a clear sign her reckless MAGA activism — and a personal scandal — have taken their toll. Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., is hopping over to a neighboring congressional district next year to run for re-election to the House. Boebert announced Wednesday that she won’t be running in her native 3rd Congressional District, which she’s represented for two terms, and is instead leaping over to the 4th, where Rep. Ken Buck, R-Colo., is retiring. It’s a sign of how much she’s made a mess of things in her current district, and it underscores how serving as a MAGA firebrand has limited her versatility as a politician even in what should be friendly territory. Of course, that wasn’t how Boebert explained her decision. “It’s the right move for me personally, and it’s the right decision for those who support our conservative movement,” she said in a video announcement Wednesday. She didn’t get into how exactly it’s the right thing for the 4th District, where she won’t be moving until next year. But her calculation is straightforward: The 4th District is considerably more conservative than the 3rd, giving her higher chances of winning a race, assuming she prevails in the primary. In her announcement, Boebert argued that her hand had been forced. She claimed that “Hollywood elites and progressive money groups” were conspiring against her to “buy” the 3rd District. It’s true that Democratic rival Adam Frisch has been pulling in record-breaking amounts of cash for an expected rematch against Boebert (although it’s worth noting that he was also dwarfing her small-dollar donors). Frisch’s strong performance against her last year was a surprise — it was a district that Donald Trump won by 6 points in 2020, and Trump had endorsed her. Boebert has chosen to duck out to avoid what might’ve been shaping up to be a fatal blow. Rest of article here: Lauren Boebert made a mess in her congressional district. She’s fleeing to a new oneSo how does that work? Did the GOP party there in CO tell Boebert that she was bound to loose in her current district so they wanted her to move to a different district? Why not just tell her that her poll numbers are really low and it might be best for the GOP party if she just sits this one out? I’m thinking there have to be other GOP candidates who were interested in running for the 4th district, before Boebert just jumped in there. She still has to go through a primary. That is the real race. The winner of the primary will most likely win in the general election- the district is very conservative. She will probably win, I suspect MAGA has a strong presence in that area.

i am not sure either of those things will happen, for the record. but you would probably know better than me. I don’t know. I didn’t think Trump would win - but looked how that shit show unfolded. I think Boebert has a good chance. I hope that Kari Lake loses this one, but who knows.

There was a lot of possible criminal activity in Trump's data analytics machine. It was hard to know that was the case unless you were involved. And in researching that I learned that Obama's data analytics team may have straddled or crossed the line less badly that Trump's team did in the elections prior. Especially when Hillary lost to him. There is stuff to unpack, and I still would like to find out what lines Obama's teams trounced on that gave them the edge over Hillary. Might not have just been black man almost always wins over white woman.

Boebert punched her ex husband in the nose during a scuffle at a Colorado restaurant. She says he’s lying but he called the cops to report the assault and there were witnesses.
I knew a girl who punched her boyfriend, but that was I high school and they were both shit faced - but then, that’s about Boebert’s mental age.

Yeah she has the double negative of being a carpetbagger and a national punchline. I wish MTG was also in danger of getting fired, but she isn’t. Maybe MTG will quit to run for senate because she thinks Georgia loves her. Hopefully she’ll be disappointed.

she is one of those people like Palin that is overflowing with confidence, without having done much of anything to earn it. she sounds like she got a GED (i think she did), and never worked a real job in her life. she doesn't understand the difference between foolishness and rebellion. and she doesn't understand that by vacating her district, she invited the fury of a handful of Republicans who are now running against her. all of those factors will come to play in her election. i don't think she stands a chance of winning. and thus ends yet another despicable chapter in MAGAdom. yes. i am predicting she loses. which is good for the GOP, and possibly the country.

If boebert doesn't do well in the Colorado 4th district primary, she still has districts 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8 to try her luck.

Video in the linked article. She also roasted expelled House rep George Santos. Lauren Boebert Brutally Mocked by Republican at Congressional DinnerHouse Republican Lauren Boebert was mocked on Wednesday by one of her GOP colleagues at the Washington Press Club Foundation's annual congressional dinner. At the beginning of her keynote address, Representative Lisa McClain, a Republican from Michigan, said: "Please keep your hands above the table and I know it's date night for some of you but no inappropriate touching. That includes you Lauren Boebert. No vaping either." A 19-second clip of the remark was shared on X, formerly Twitter, by the "Acyn" account, which posts footage related to U.S. politics, where it received over 1,600 likes and 94,000 views. McClain was referencing an incident that took place in Denver, Colorado, on September 10 when Boebert and a male companion were asked to leave a performance of the musical Beetlejuice for repeatedly vaping and taking photos. Footage later emerged of Boebert and the man groping each other during the show, for which she later apologized.
