Quilts are beautiful, but I expect every quilt you make is very beautiful.
Tomorrow is recycling day. I haven't put that out since the blood clot. The bin is full right now and there's more to put in it as soon as it is emptied. Getting rid of that stuff is actually exciting because then I can refill it.

Sharon the quilt colors are beautiful and vibrant. Happy is the word which also comes to mind. TheOtherMe I also find ridding of things makes me happy. Last Thursday in the big city: -Got my teeth cleaned -Stopped by the bakery and candy shop -Met the family for lunch -Was supposed to get the truck's oil changed but they didn't have me on their schedule, despite the fact I have a confirmation email. We rescheduled for later this month. -Dropped off the Goodwill donation. Two neighbors gave me items to drop off, so including DH and my things, there was a total of 7 bags of clothing, and several small boxes of household items. I plan another later this month. What a great feeling. -Bought some much needed socks, a few shirts, and a pillow for the grandnephew -Dropped off the aforementioned pillow at my niece's. Grandnephew loves the pillow. I was gone most of the weekend, but upon returning, I unpacked, did two loads of laundry, boiled eggs, set out fresh towels, emptied the bathroom garbage, and prepared the Keurig for this morning.

startsmart as always, your quilts are STUNNING. I actually hesitated to mention that if you need money, you could always do a "quilt to order". I chose not to mention it, but I'm sure it will always be a possibility. It is now 2 months since I gave up cigarettes.

I'm also very glad you're not smoking, debthaven. Today I've done some scrubbing and organizing but have a ton more to do. I'm hosting Easter this year and need to get everything in order over the next 3 days. I can do it. I just need to get going.

No smoking for two months? You've quit, lady! You may still want a cigarette but you are probably to a point where you can talk yourself out of it, if the occasion arises.

Yesterday I started packing for Mom and I's long weekend at the coast. I also wrapped the presents for DGS2 so everything is ready for his birthday when we get back.

Tonight after work I got the family room, dinning room, and kitchen vacuumed and mopped really well. It looks so good in those rooms. I'm trying to get into the habit of breaking that job down so it is more manageable and maybe I will actually do it more often. ETA: I threw away my old mop bucket today. I couldn't find a crack in it but it seemed to have a small leak. I bought a new one and actually threw the old one away instead of trying to repurpose it for outside or something else. After all I had only had it for 40+ years and it was my Mom's before that.

I think the bucket had a very long useful life.

Sigh, so I have a crack in my foundation. There goes at least $5500. Please pray for me that it isn't more than I think.

Today's goal is to finally clean up all of this junk mail that has been accumulating for the past 6 weeks when I've just been opening only what looked important.
Now that the recycle bin is empty, it's time to fill it up.

However, there is stuff in the room where the crack is located. I can't move that stuff because DN3 has all of their extra furniture in the rest of the basement. Once his soccer season is over, that stuff has to go and the other stuff moved to the other part of the basement so I can see about getting it fixed.

Just a quick check in. Returned from my first craft retreat with three projects in various states of completion. Will be working on those a little at a time in the next few weeks as I would like to complete them if possible before I leave for my cruise in a few weeks. Small suitcase is unpacked and will be put away. I will use the larger one for the cruise. Have been making lists for packing as well as things I need to get done in the next weeks. I ordered my Euros yesterday so I am waiting for the notification that they are ready and that I can pick them up.
House is in pretty good condition and I think the cleaners will be here next week. Once that is done I will bring the larger case down and begin the packing process. I have been collecting items and just throwing them into the case but need to get things in better shape plus decide what clothing I will need. Also need to reserve one museum ticket. Others have been ordered by friends and I will be going with them. This other one will just be a friend and I and I will get that done as soon as I confirm one time of another activity.
Need to get that other list finished.

What I have managed to do -- Not too much.
My taxes are done and filed.
My Uncle passed 3 years to the day that his brother (my Dad) did so that has thrown me for a loop. He is being buried? on Thursday, I ordered a flower arraignment. I just am not up to going out and dealing with my Dad's family. Nice enough people, we just don't have much in common so visiting would be beyond stressful. From what my Dad told me about his Mom's funeral, and what happened afterward I don't want to see or deal with the greedy, avarice side of people that come out when someone passes.
Everyone take care and stay safe.

I'm so sorry for your loss snapdragon How exciting moneysquirrel ! I'm working 4 days this week. I know I'm working less than before, but these days it certainly doesn't feel like it. Tomorrow is the last day of this three-week "chunk" (two days/week at Job 2.) Things should get a bit easier after this week.

On the inside I'm just fixing the water damage.

No water damage, but they will have to do a lot of digging to fix it from the outside.

No water damage, but they will have to do a lot of digging to fix it from the outside. Yep, that's how it works. They dig down to the footings, actually make the crack a bit bigger in a V shape, fill it with a special expanding mortar, put this tar stuff over it, add a membrane over that, put in new weeping tile where they dug up, refill the hole and reseed. Foundation cracks tend to go up and down, that's why the quote is by linear foot.

The huge pile of mostly junk mail that has accumulated during my illness with the blood clot has been gone through. 90% is going to the recycling bin, which is mostly empty.
Most of the rest will be scanned and then put in the shredding bag.
This house is going to slowly come back together after getting totally out of control during this illness.
The cleaners will be here in two weeks, so I have a deadline.
