Neither Cheney or Kinzinger have anything to lose by being subpoenaed. They will tell it like it is/was. What's the worst which could happen to them: lose their House Rep jobs?

It's what the Republican party has become. No platform, no policies (except tax cuts for the rich)--nothing but control. Jordan is still so ticked he didn't get on the committee to disrupt the proceedings. It eats at their soul one of their own would call them out for what they are. Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney blasted McCarthy, and supported Pelosi's decision to pull Jordan and Banks from the committee. She said McCarthy, "at every opportunity" has "attempted to prevent the American people from understanding what happened" on January 6. "Any person who would be third in line to the presidency must demonstrate a commitment to the constitution and a commitment to the rule of law, and Minority Leader McCarthy has not done that," she told reporters. www.cbsnews.com/news/kevin-mccarthy-jan-6-committee-picks-removed-pelosi-rejects-jim-jordan-jim-banks/

This reminds me of those 11 different investigations of BENGAZI!!
All those attempts to somehow find a way to blame Hillary for people getting killed at our embassy, when the SOS has literally nothing to do with running embassies, and they ended up scrounging around in her private home server, trying to claim she sent classified documents over it - none of it amounted to any indictments because there wasn’t anything indictable.
They’ll blow a bunch of tax payer money to be able to pontificate and shake their fingers on camera and to cater to their Lord of the Flies, King of Revenge, Donald Trump.

Seems like the US government is run on vengeance, payback and spite. Is that any way to run a country?

Neither Cheney or Kinzinger have anything to lose by being subpoenaed. They will tell it like it is/was. What's the worst which could happen to them: lose their House Rep jobs? exactly. and that is a given, anyway. they know that. in a way, they are doing the good work they are doing BECAUSE of that fact. if that feels like a threat to Jordan and others, in other words, it is having the opposite effect.

Those ‘investigations’ were tantamount to the Russian ‘show trials’ of yesteryear. Finally one of them admitted it was to just keep Hillary in the negative press to tarnish her chances to be POTUS. It worked. They even preferred the despicable Trump to a woman of accomplishment. Now he has them swirling down into a cesspool. May they splinter and die.

Me either, but this is one that would benefit a whole country. Clinton is wrongfully accused of killing dozens. this guy has literally been responsible for the death of at least a million, and more every hour, and we are not even talking about locking him up, yet. he makes Idi Amin look like a boyscout, if you view it from a distance.

DJ I consider you one of the more level tempered posters here. My question to you is do you honestly think that there is enough evidence that would hold up in a court of law that would convict Trump of treason or guilty of dereliction of office. Now I'm not asking what you think he is guilty of but rather would be convictable evidence. I haven't seen it.

I haven't seen it. i think there is enough evidence to convict him of disrupting a public proceeding. for that charge, it really doesn't matter what he THINKS. if i think that police are space aliens, and that if i get pulled over, i will have my brain sucked out of my earhole with their space straws, it will NOT prevent me from getting cited for evading arrest. if he sincerely believes that he was not criming the last two months of his presidency, he may skate on the other charges. but there are charges like that one which he can easily be convicted of. whether Garland will actually DO THAT is the next question. i think so, but i honestly don't know. i have often wondered what the hell Garland is doing.

I think he has more to fear from the Georgia DA. She’s got him on tape telling the GA SOS to ‘find him’ 11,000 plus votes. There’s a line of his minions on the hot seat as well. Going to be hard to explain that tape as anything other than an attempt to coerce the SOS. I don’t know what he means when he refers to it as a ‘perfect’ phone call. Kind of worried what happens if he gets convicted, if he DOES get convicted. But it needs to happen.

If, and it’s a big IF, any armed assaults anywhere by his cult should be met with immediate lethal force by police, the National Guard, and units of the U.S. Army until all uprisings are quelled and peace in our streets is restored.

That’s all I care about. That he can’t run in 2024, that no one cares what he thinks anymore, and that he fades into the Florida sunset, a pudgy old man in golf pants still ranting to anyone who will listen about how he was cheated.

Find him 11000 votes can be argued the same as see if there is enough fraud for 11000 votes. Nothing will happen. He should not run in 2024 I don't think he could win. I wish they would be an upper age cap on the presidency.

If the majority of voters think a person is too old, they can not vote them into office.

Now if they can get a conviction I don’t know. Depends on where the jury comes from.

I do think there should be limits on age for congress and president. To run for office the maximum age should be maybe 67 for Senate and 70 for President? I was thinking this am that Republicans just don't believe in Democracy, they obstruct everything the Democrats try to do. There is no such thing as working across the aisle for the good of the country anymore.

Sure, but we are not talking about a flight of less that 24 hours, we elect Presidents for 4 years and Senators for 7, and the Parties are so Partisan they have shown that they just wont remove someone from office even if there are cognitive issues, so I think an upper age limit is the right way to go.

The attempt to overthrow the election MUST be punished. He, and his enablers came too close to preventing Biden from taking his rightful place as the next president. If this gets ignored, the next guy who is a little smarter, and better at "coordinating" his people will succeed in overthrowing our government. It'll be too late then to weep & gnash our teeth, and a lot of us will be saying "I told you so!"
