Trump Lawyer Says He Will Be Reinstated as President if GOP Win Midterms
Christina Bobb, an attorney who has supported Donald Trump's legal challenge to overturn the 2020 election, has suggested a scenario in which the former president could be reinstated after the midterm elections in November. Bobb told the conservative news outlet the Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) what she thought could happen in states in which there was "evidence that Joe Biden cheated" in the election Trump and his allies have continuously claimed was fraudulent. "They could withdraw their electors, or they could actually decide to award Trump electors, although I would anticipate they will probably just withdraw the electors," she said. "If that happens from three different states, three different resolutions go into Congress," she said it would then be up to Congress to decide "whether they want to accept the resolutions, whether they want to act on them or not." "It is a complex issue that needs to be handled complexly by different state legislators and U.S. Congress, I actually think that it's designed well, because you don't want this to be something that you can quickly easily overturn elections," she said. "It needs to be something that you need many, many elected officials to take action on," and the "majority of three different legislators." "I don't know if this Congress would take action on it, however after 22...there might be, who knows?" she added, referring to the aftermath of the midterm elections in November, which could see Democrats lose seats. The clip was tweeted by Ron Filipowski, an attorney who tracks conspiracy theories. He wrote that Bobb "says things are in the works to overturn the 2020 election and possibly reinstate Trump. "She says the plan is for 3 states to decertify their results and send resolutions to the next Congress after the midterms to overturn the results," he added. Dozens of court cases and recounts state by state have verified Biden's victory, while Trump's own Department of Justice found no evidence of fraud in 2020 after extensive investigations. It comes as drop boxes became the new front for Trump and Republicans pushing unfounded claims of a rigged election. The conservative-controlled Supreme Court in Wisconsin ruled on Friday that absentee ballot drop boxes, which Trump and his allies claim facilitate cheating, can only be placed in election offices and that only a voter can return a vote in person. It spurred Trump to write on his Truth Social account that the court's decision showed "I won the very closely contested (not actually) Wisconsin Presidential race because they used these corrupt and scandal-ridden Scam Boxes." There is no evidence that the vote in Wisconsin, or anywhere else in the U.S. was fraudulent. The new voting restrictions in Wisconsin are expected to impact Democrats more and come amid changes to election rules being pursued by GOP legislatures, most of which are fueled by the claims about the 2020 election. There is a reality she isn't taking into account. It is in Biden's Inaugural Address. I highlighted it for you. Inaugural Address by President Joseph R. Biden, Jr.The United States Capitol
11:52 AM EST
THE PRESIDENT: Chief Justice Roberts, Vice President Harris, Speaker Pelosi, Leader Schumer, Leader McConnell, Vice President Pence, distinguished guests, and my fellow Americans.
This is America’s day.
This is democracy’s day.
A day of history and hope.
Of renewal and resolve.
Through a crucible for the ages America has been tested anew and America has risen to the challenge.
Today, we celebrate the triumph not of a candidate, but of a cause, the cause of democracy.
The will of the people has been heard and the will of the people has been heeded.
We have learned again that democracy is precious.
Democracy is fragile.
And at this hour, my friends, democracy has prevailed and I call no take backsies.
So now, on this hallowed ground where just days ago violence sought to shake this Capitol’s very foundation, we come together as one nation, under God, indivisible, to carry out the peaceful transfer of power as we have for more than two centuries.
... So legally Trump can't be reinstated.

Why do I think that any lawyer who participated in this "campaign" (whether in court or not) should be disbarred? Aren't there rules about frivolous lawsuits, presenting in court material you know to be false, and suborning perjury? Presenting it in the press should be considered equally culpable, since the intent is the same: To corrupt the process and take us further away from the truth.

Why do I think anyone smart enough to become a lawyer and pass a bar should also know the law and not come up with these outrageous ideas?

Why do I think anyone smart enough to become a lawyer and pass a bar should also know the law and not come up with these outrageous ideas? It isn't about the truth, it's all about the money. And, I agree that any lawyer who participates in this frivolous game should lose their right to practice law.

Why can’t we do both. If they swore yo iphlld the constitution, and they are blatantly trying to subvert the constitution, they should be disbarred

Because when it is "their" turn to make the determination of "blatantly" and hand out sanctions, many of us won't like it.

"They" are already doing a lot of things that we don't like. Remember when Mitch McConnell didn't let the vote take place for a Supreme Court nominee?

Libertarian ideals are one thing, and indeed I hold many of them. Foolhardiness is another. Trusting the "best instincts" of others without questioning is the latter. The unfortunate truth is that a substantial number of the public are waiting to be led, and they often don't care to examine who they are being led by, or what they are being led toward. If society needs to sanction those who would lead it to malevolent or nefarious ends, I'm good with that.

She probably got paid or was promised to be paid by Trump for that statement. Reinstatement cannot happen, but Trump probably loves that as a marketing term.

the issue is actually not complex. you fucking lost, Trumpster. just shut up and wait for your next chance to win. don't legislate victory out of defeat. don't even try. you will be disenfranchising 80 MILLION voters if you do.

Majority of three different legislators? That would be 2, or 3. Many, many elected officials? Who are these magic "majority of three different legislators" that get to decide?

Who are these magic "majority of three different legislators" that get to decide? this has already been adjudicated, imo. many of the sixty challenges to the election involved this idea. the conclusion was that there is actually no constitutional mechanism for making any of this happen. not that they won't try. and it will go to the SCOTUS. that will be interesting.

did a little research on Christina Bobb. she is telegenic. she worked for OAN. her "coverage" of the Arizona audit included working with Arizona Republican Senators on fundraising, which would be a clear conflict of interest, if OAN were an actual news organization. she founded THIS organization: voicesandvotes.org/she worked in DHS in the "border protection" division, and was "Executive DHS Secretary". she calls herself a journalist, but has no background in journalism. she graduated in "Arts", got an MBA, and then got a JD from some place called California Western School of Law, and an LLM from Georgetown (good school). clearly she is bright enough to know that she is supporting a neo-fascist takeover of the US. she should probably be brought to trial for it. edit: she also worked in the legal and operations department of the Marines, but her military service (whether she was an advocate, a private contractor, how long she served, etc) is unclear to me.

Part of our training in college is philosophy (needed at least a minor in it) and that included some logic courses and basic critical thinking. Can't reason with him no, takes in everything from Fox News without applying any of his philosophical training. I'm so frustrated with him. I think in general he has been a good priest (although, I am in the parishes he was previously was at and see he wasn't doing some basic pastoral work: visiting the sick, nursing homes, being available in crisis situations) but he has now let his political views cloud his ministry. Have found many parishioners left (and now coming back) because he always was taking a black and white view on all issues. No nuance. This, I think, is a microcosm of what we are experiencing as a society.

This, I think, is a microcosm of what we are experiencing as a society. Which brings me back again to what has become a huge problem in our country: The combining of religion with partisan politics. I don't know how big of a problem it was prior to 1980, but I think it really began in earnest with Ronald Reagan embracing The Moral Majority and ushering them into the mainstream. The big problem, of course, was that for the most part they were neither moral nor a majority, and were trying to serve two masters. Combining religion and politics corrupts them both. Every step religion takes toward political power takes them away from both God and the Constitution. I have said it before, but I would bet any amount of money that a lot of these "Christians" are going to be very surprised when the words, "I never knew ye" figure prominently in their future.
