You don't like seafood? ? Can I have yours then? LOL, I really don't. I'm getting better with tolerating it, but I would take a filet any day over seafood. However, it's tradition to have seafood on NYE so I suck it up and eat it. It's funny to hear my 9 and 12 year old complain, "why do we have to eat lobster" LOL!! I didn't like lobster as a kid either. Always loved crab. But now lobster is in my top 5 list of foods.

My brother had prime rib. Now that tasty. He had oysters rockfeller too and those were good. I really don't like raw ones, if I have to eat those I swallow without chewing. Sometimes he has extra mushroom filling and I will take it and get mushrooms and make my own.

I love most seafood. We had lobster a few nights ago, yum. Shrimp, scallops, crabcakes, salmon, etc. All is good.

TD, do you like mussels in marinara sauce or raw oysters or steamed clams, etc? I don't like squid or octopus, though.

I like raw oysters but only had them a couple of times (it's a pile of BS that they are a aphrodisiac by the way, I ate a half dozen last time and only 4 worked). Not as crazy about cooked oysters.
Clams, like them in sauces, soups, etc but not so much just as a pile of them.

Squid and octopus, both are good. They need to be not overcooked or they get very rubbery.

We're having Alaskan King Crab legs with melted garlic butter for dipping, baked potato, and mini-baguettes washed down with White Zin. Strawberry mousse for dessert. There's a small bottle of bubbly chilling just in case we make it til midnite. But with all that food, we just might not make it .
