I will not. I find the celebration a whole Lotta hype over a whole Lotta nothing. But I guess I'm just practical about things. I'd rather get some rest.

Any reason to party works for me. Then I will rest.

I don't ever really "party" on New Year's Eve. I am scared of all the drunk drivers. For years I have stayed home and "partied" with my kids. I make us a bunch of finger foods, a bunch of non alcoholic drinks for them..a few with alcohol for me...and we play board games, Wii, have a dance off... I honestly cannot remember the last time I went to a New Year's Eve party.

I will -- my sister's throwing a party, so I'm gonna go over there, party hard and crash on the couch.

Going to my brother's for NYE. They throw the best parties, and there's already a non-drinking DD assigned to be chauffeur.

It is just another day! I will probably be snuggled up fast asleep in bed long before midnight. I don't like to go out that day anyway because of all the drinking. Isn't it funny how it is seldom the drunk driver that is killed? Not that I wish anything bad on anyone - just saying. I am going to make a nice steak and seafood dinner though!

I find the celebration a whole Lotta hype over a whole Lotta nothing. Ditto. I've kind of given up on NYE. Everytime I plan something, the whole evening goes to hell in a handbasket. I think I'll stay planless and just stay home with my favorite person...ME! I am going out tonight though...1/2 price drinks in the city and a bunch of people I barely know. Good Times! Just gotta get an outfit after work...yay for getting out today at 1pm teehee...

I'm not a New Year's Eve person, never really have been. We'll have a bottle (or two) of sparkling wine, a nice dinner.

I'll be working[as usual]. One year a guy went to his car to get business papers out of the trunk of his car and caught a bullet in chest that was fired upward from a distant place. If in your area they shoot guns to celebrate the NEW YEAR please stay inside.

We gave up celebrating amateur night a long time ago. We just do the lobster dinner and make it an early night.

Last year we went to a local casino to partake of the open buffet. We dropped about $10 and was home by 10pm. If we go out this time, it will be a duplication.
Keeping fingers crossed that instead of dropping $10, we'll bring home a healthy bundle. I'll even gladly pay the taxes on a big bundle of $$$$$$$. LOL

I'm not a New Year's Eve person, never really have been. We'll have a bottle (or two) of sparkling wine, a nice dinner. That is DH and I. I'm honestly kind of sick of people and socializing after Thanksgiving and Christmas. We prefer to be home safe, happy, with a peaceful atmosphere.

I don't like to be on the roads on NYE because of the drunk drivers. So, I host a dinner party at my house...that's right, let my guests risk their lives driving home

I assume you'll be serving Red Cat LOL!! Of course I will have Red Cat...I'm not a big seafood person and since we will be dining on lobster and crab legs, the only thing I have to look forward to IS the Red Cat

Yeah those wouldn't be my favorites either. My stepbrother had lobster/artichoke dip and crab stuffed mushrooms at Christmas. Those were excellent but I'm not a big fan of eating just crab legs or lobster.

Crab and lobster I can take or leave. You can't have my shrimp and lately I really like scallops.

I'll definitely give you my scallops and even my shrimp for your crabs and lobster. That's what we do every New Years. At least the crab, but if lobster is on sale we will buy a few of those too. And sparkling wine, which I just call Champagne. LOTS of that. <<already drinking the Champagne for practice>>

Those were excellent but I'm not a big fan of eating just crab legs or lobster. That's me. I like crab IN stuff but not really by itself. I used to make a delicious crab dip recipe but with all of the food, it was just too much. I will have to see if I can find that recipe and make it on a non-holiday weekend.

You don't like seafood? ? Can I have yours then? LOL, I really don't. I'm getting better with tolerating it, but I would take a filet any day over seafood. However, it's tradition to have seafood on NYE so I suck it up and eat it. It's funny to hear my 9 and 12 year old complain, "why do we have to eat lobster"
