Why doesn't the FDA regulate vitamins and supplements?
DD11 came back low-ish iron which could be contributing to her sleep issues. I'm down the amazon rabbit hole to try to find gummy vitamins (more likely to take them) that have decent amount of iron.
My cholesterol is slightly high. I've convinced dr to let me try another year to lose 10 lbs and she suggested supplements including -red yeast rice extract (2400 mg), -green tea (300 mg pill), -omega 3 (1000-4000g per day EPA:DHA 3:2), and -aged garlic 600 mg twice per day
Another rabbit hole to find something that at least combines most of them.
Anyone want to save me by posting links?

I found a place I LOVE. Even has a big garage it says. I think it would work for both of us. Will go see it tomorrow, if i can. Have to check if they will allow DD and 2 pets. Yep its leased land but the modular is new enough if we had to move it we could, but would sure cost. 4228 Illahee Lane SW, Tumwater, Wa 98512 That one is really nice, CG!

The house is only 2.2 miles from here so about 3.5 from son, maybe 4. It's in this same area.
We won't have to pay the land line costs and that which is $155 a month, there our amount here is $50 for internet. No state taxes. Car and house insurance is more. So that would partially offset the fee per month. And once we sell the 3 places bills would go down drastically, plus we could sell and buy a house. But even hubs is saying we need to have less outside work.
My maintenance guy is mowing so I won't have to finish the lawn, yeah, I'm trying to see how far he comes over here. Looks like almost to the porch. He can see I like it neat and clean so I'm sure that helps. But they are changing managers here and I dread that. I've heard people don't like this lady, but the whole park is spotless, quiet, and nice people here.
I like the colors of all the walls, I don't know about the red, but it makes it look lively. Of course could be easily painted over. To me it's light, bright, and the kind of place I would like. Haven't heard from hubs so don't know. Nor I haven't contacted them yet to. see what the rules are there.

Try Nextlizet for cholesterol, it doesn't clear out the old but I have none of the symptoms I did with the statins. It is not a station and I had to get approval from the insurance. But even my heart doctor liked it, said he was going to use it for himself. My cholesterol has been great since.

Locally there are very specific code regs for "bedrooms", mostly for fire safety concerns. Bedrooms must have at least one operable window and a door leading directly to a hallway or to the outside - not into another room. When I see a listing for "bonus room", it's a red flag for a cheap remodel where they cut something up without a permit and can't list it as a "bedroom"

it also says 7 bedrooms, but the listing detail lower down says 3. it's just a mess all around. I think this is the one that had four bedrooms that weren't technically bedrooms. I forgot the wording that they used for it. Non-functional bedroom, maybe. Another house Andi posted had non-functional bedrooms as well. To me that is weird, to have a bedroom or several that aren't actual bedrooms. Here in Quebec, it doesn't count as a bedroom if it doesn't have a door and a window. Maybe it's the same thing?

To me that is weird, to have a bedroom or several that aren't actual bedrooms. non-conforming was the word they used. that likely means there's no closet in the room, so they can't legally call it a bedroom. when I first saw that, I went looking to see if it was sewer or septic on the house, b/c septic is rated for the capacity of the house by # of bedrooms. in any case, that on top of the mess in the kitchen would make me run from this house. My sister has a non conforming bedroom in the house she is trying to sell. The ceiling in the bedroom is 2” too short, and she couldn’t raise it. The bedroom otherwise has closets, windows and even a bath off of it. Different states, different rules.

We did egress basement windows last summer which worked out well for housing bonus teen and have future plans to add closet which will make our 3 bedroom home officially 5 bedroom. I kinda consider home equity in long term retirement savings as we don't expect to move until we need assisted living. Eventually we'd want to bring laundry upstairs when we're ages 60+.

The current listing is using a small storage place to qualify it as a 4th BR. It's a bit of a stretch but whatever.

Suitcase is almost emptied. I still have to pull out the dresses that were packed separately. I got a chance to use my new bag. Last year during Black Friday sales, I held my nose and bought a Briggs and Riley carry on. Despite the sale price, it was an absurd cost but my old bag was dead and this was the closest comparable carry on I found to the Victornox that bit the dust.
I do have to admit that I see what people like about it. There is no wasted space and the zips and handles don’t jam at all. It rolls soooo smooth (I bought the 2 wheel, not the spinner). The expansion expands on all sides, not just one. This bag has a hanging section for dresses that folds up into the lid. My only dislike was I bought it in plum and the color is so dark it almost looks black (which I was trying to avoid). However, they just rereleased the color and am seriously considering the larger bag.

You know there is discrimination against the handicapped, it is subtle. But this says in the restrictions that only 2 family members unless approved by the park. The last one I looked at said only 2 because of septic size, LOL! I now know why they gave us fits here, kept asking for more and more and more documentation as nothing was in the rules about only 2 people. We finally got approved, but now when looking at other places I'm surprised we did. But they could find nothing, we paid cash, we have no felonies or anything, our credit scores are super. DD causes no problems, you wouldn't even know she was here unless you see her come and go once in awhile. But I understand you would not want some that disrupt the neighborhood. But elderly people can get dementia and other conditions and cause a lot of issues.
But we will see, I asked for the park managers number, but I am very doubtful she will be accommodated. You know I never thought about that as we aged. But discrimination is well and alive in many ways.
We shall see, but I expect am no.

You know I never thought about that as we aged. But discrimination is well and alive in many ways. We shall see, but I expect am no. Since there is nothing in the rules about limited to two people they were IMO looking for anything at all that could potentially disqualify you. However, getting an exception in a place where such a rule does exists is so much harder both to obtain and to give. For once you give an exception you have established a precedent. And once that has happened it will be very hard to justify not giving the same accommodation to the next applicant. Paying cash, great credit scores, no problems from DD, etc., notwithstanding the next applicant could potentially have the same financial qualifications yet the additional person might very well bring in problems you don't want. Or there are too many "additional" persons allowed and it can become a discrimination against families with children situation. There are a lot of considerations that would go into a decision. So much easier to just say no...

I would be really leery of buying a home where I had to pay lot rent. I have read too many stories of venture capitalists buying communities and jacking up the rent, with people stuck paying it unless they want to give up the ownership of their home.

Got a breakfast taquito this am and later went to the bank for our hurricane season cash stash. They didn't have $1's so I'll have to make another run to a different bank tomorrow for those. I finally got my car registered online - easy peasy since I didn't screw things up on the inspection this time.

I saw in there if someone gets pregnant they have to leave in a year. Guess what else, so far the ones I have seen are all lily white. How do they get by with that?
They gave us a phone list out here where we live and one tenant has a live in caregiver.

Well it says has to have one person over 55 and no one under 21 and if they get pregnant has to leave in a year. It's ok, I'm not pushing anything, I don't want to live where we are not wanted. It's been an issue forever, from seating in restaurants to other issues. And yet they say we will take care of all these people who are going to be required to live because of no abortions. That is an out and out lie.

I kinda consider home equity in long term retirement savings as we don't expect to move until we need assisted living. Eventually we'd want to bring laundry upstairs when we're ages 60+. We finished our basement with permits (which most people skip). Our house was originally built in 2004/05 and has hardwired smoke alarms. Idk about closets, but our requirements include a hardwired smoke alarm in the bedroom and a full sized window so many inches from the ground. it is probably about 36". Our house already had 4 windows in the basement as we have a partial exposure. We also have a door from the basement to the backyard. The inspector initially told DH he would need to fix some kind of step permanently below the window, b/c it was just a few inches off. We actually have 2 rooms in our basement that could count as bedrooms, but the inspector did not force the issue on the step and DH had everything set up for the hardwired smoke alarm in the office, but had not actually finished the install of the smoke alarm when the inspector came. He passed the room we had designated a bedroom as a bedroom and called the other room an office, so DH did not have to finish the smoke alarm install (he could have done it in less than 10 minutes, but, since the inspector closed the permits, DH never did it). DH said he never saw a kid that could not hop up on the window sill, so he was not concerned about affixing a permanent step. Other than my DD sleeping occasionally in the basement (In the family room area which has 2 windows and a door) we only ever had guests stay in the "guest room" once. Both the rooms in our basement have a walk in closet. Our taxes are already very high b/c of the permitted basement finish. If we had 5 legal bedrooms instead of 4, our taxes would be even higher. My basement finish includes a full kitchen and a bath. Idk if we could have a legal rental unit or not, but I think they are taxing me as if it is a separate unit. we can get the code requirements online from city hall. They used to have little pamphlets with the info in it, idk if they still have that, or if they expect you to print the code out from their website. You can check with the city to see what work has been done with a permit.

I doubt if that is a viable choice, such a shame, good location for us and lovely.
No call back from manager but may not even be in daily. I did try again and on recorder.

I'm signing off work, and already don't wanna sign in tomorrow. whatever. I'll be outside enjoying the evening here. first up, I need to cook off the ground turkey and kale for the pups, that I picked up last weekend when I realized the turkey was on deep sale. they won't see it for dinner tonight, but I'll be set for the am and the next few days. I've made significant progress since the Tetris board that was my fridge on Friday night lol... <br><br>S stopped by with a couple more pup essentials this afternoon, and last night my other friend S (the CCBL/photography kid) texted to ask if I was still okay with him using my house as home base this weekend. I said absolutely! just know you're carting my ass around a little to restock the pup stash at some point lol.... and then my parents are coming down Sunday for the 60s night at the Melody Tent that night. my sister bailed outright, which doesn't really bother me at all after how she's been recently.

Wow. I was tired today even after a full night's sleep. Resting all day. I did do laundry. I accompanied my H. to the auto parts store. Our new car didn't have a front license plate bracket. The neighbor lady is messing around with the fence that partially blew down. The son had been picking up pine cones. I'm not getting involved. It's a beautiful day outside. I sat out twice. I can't see my computer outside or I'd move both of us out! H. is eating early because of tennis. Then he has a social afterward. Our Great grandson called during his break. Our car likes my cell phone better than my H.'s. My AB starts up even when I haven't turned it on. I drag my feet setting up appointments. I did get one for our will review. I need to see a PT about my shoulder and knees. I used to enjoy exercising. When it moved to therapies, Ugh.
