Closing on the house will be 9/27. I'm not able to look at the townhouse until 9/18. I'm going to drive by there tonight since I'll be in the area at boxing class. I want to see what the area looks like at night. I'm sure the property is fine. If the neighborhood looks sketchy, I'll cancel the tour. I put in a request to see another townhouse on the KS side. I know exactly what that area is like since I routinely run around over there.

What are you going to do with all your stuff if you don't have a place? Live in a Uhaul like my kid and his roommates did for a week? LOL

My showers are short. 2-5 min max if Im shaving. In a tub I'll let product sit on my hair for a long time bit I still rinse very quickly and I have waist length average thickness course wavy hair. I've never had an issue with product build up though. I do a lot of natural hair care stuff including vinegar rinses if anything feels off. I don't have hard water either which would complicate things. Oooooooh, I did a vinegar rinse once. Never again. It surely did take anything that may have built up out.

Pink Cashmere, maybe Mister would really be helped by you talking about what people do who have experienced a serious loss in recent day, other than work. It may be he has no idea. Processing emotion is a foreign skill for many, especially men and others who are problem-solvers. Just a thought.

I have expanded my search criteria, so I'm getting responses from a bunch of different places. If I don't, I'll put stuff in storage and stay with one of the billion relatives I have. It's not a big deal. I just want this house gone.

Making plans for the next several days. Including making a large fruit salad for a group of friends with whom I'm having dinner on Friday, and preparing for the fair on Saturday with pictures ready. And, getting packed and ready to fly off on Monday. Before all that I need to be ready for replacing the hot water heater, I hope tomorrow but maybe Thursday. Plus, look into getting my front tires replaced and balanced and a front end alignment, probably after we get back from our travels next Friday. I knew September would be busy but it's really building up.
Need to check for energy savings programs when replacing water heater.

y'all, I'm going to be colors not found in nature by tonight. woof. first thing I did was dunk myself in the ocean, and then sat out with K and P who were laughing at me getting shocked by the cold. an hour later, K joined me in going in up to her ankles. about an hour and a half later, P caved and joined us. I ended up heading over to the groomer around 2 to pick up Punk, b/c I needed a break from the sun, and I also wanted to check on LD and whether my house was still standing haha. I'm currently standing over an A/C vent while I hang out a few min before heading back to the beach. first thing I'm doing is dunking again lol......but I'm bringing a big golf umbrella back with me.

Went to hand doc, just NP, won't see doc till surgery!! They said its a ganglion cyst, up to me about what to do with it. I'm having it removed as it hurts badly at times, also said there is a bone spur there. But they found more osteoarthritis, it's in the bottom of my thumb on this hand. They said I could have that area reconstructed if I so chose. I do not, perhaps later. The cyst removal is OP surgery, the other is considered major surgery, not going there. But I'm getting osteoarthritis all over. have it in both ankles and my spine, I have a feeling in my right hip too. My aunt on dads side had arthritis really bad. The meds she was taking made her stomach bleed so she had to quit. After that was when her quality of life went down and she hurt so badly she eventually gave up. She chose to quit all meds including the ones for her high blood pressure and passed pretty quickly. But the lady was in her 90's. I hope I make it that long. Little guy wants me at his high school graduation. I told him I would like to make it to his college graduation. He is wise sometimes, he said, you and DD can both go in wheelchairs to those if you have to. 12 more years I'm 89, yikes!
He told me he can't be president someday because he wasn't born in this country. He is worried about that at age 8, LOL! Gotta love him.
I'm not having it done till January. We are going to Washington at Christmas and the surgeon now is booked out till November, so that would be through our vacation time. So will get it done when we come home. It's been there almost a year, I can make it a few more months. Sounds like 2 weeks in 1st cast, 2nd 4 weeks, because she said where the bone spur is will leave a hole?? Guess it needs to fill in or something. Hubs will help me.
Now I don't know about doing anything with the foot or not.
I have my big kitty, Tigger sprawled all over my feet asleep. He loves to lay across one foot and prop his paw on the other and go to sleep, not sure what that's about. He is one big cat, he's looking big as a bobcat anymore. I told hubs something happened to him outside, he runs to the back door, since I've been home has only been out with me once or twice. He looks out the door and sniffs, than if I try to push him out he starts backing up and will run back in the house. I wonder if he encountered a coon or something. It's like he is afraid.
This morning when leaving there was a big dead deer in the middle of the road, someone had hit him. When I came back someone had pulled it over to the side. It was a road hazard for sure.
Ok off to the dentist to take DD.

I take 10-15 minute showers. I have just past shoulder length fine, wavy strands but a shit ton of hair on my head, so shampoo and conditioner have a lot of places to hide! Fine waves also equal tangles as soon as water hits my head, so I need to comb through a couple of times in the shower on hair washing days; I don't brush my hair once I'm out of the shower unless I am going for a puff ball look. I try to take quicker showers on non-hair days but sometimes it just feels nice to stand in the water.

I have to ask how you did the rinse? I use a 1 to 5 or 1 to 6 vinegar to water ratio - I just eyeball it so no exact measurements. Hold the length of my hair in the jar for as long as I can be bothered, then pour the rest over the top of my hair. Then rinse and condition. I used it on my kids hair for tangles and except for the smell during the actual rinse they didn't have any complaints.

This is cool, DH just made arrangements for us to go on a seal-watching boat excursion tomorrow afternoon. Should be fun. Now, how do I squeeze that in?

The seals on our cruise were so much fun to watch...well...they mostly just laid around on glacial ice, but they were still fun to watch.

Wet hair in the shower. Pour it through and rinse immediately. Anything that had built up was removed because I was a walking poof-ball for days after that. There was no smell in my hair afterwards. Very little smell when I did the actual rinse. It didn't agree with my hair though. I looked horrid. Which kind of sucked because it's cheap!

I have been working with this manifestation technique. The buzz in my ears stopped. I have needed to repeat the technique to continue removing the buzz. I'm also focusing on remember people's names/faces quickly and easily. I meet a lot of people that I play pickleball with. A lot of new faces. It will take a while to see how well this works. Also, slimming my core.

Processing emotion is a foreign skill for many, especially men and others who are problem-solvers. Just a thought. Some mortuarys offer grief support. I went for a while and needed to go a longer length of time but it wasn't available where we spend the winter. Grief is nothing to disregard. Some of the symptoms are loss of focus, reduced memory, sudden crying or profound grief. Mostly just being off. I had grief eating and added a lot of pounds. Everyone grieves differently. Blessings to Pink and Mister.

It doesn't sound like you'd try it again but if you wanted to, maybe try more water to vinegar ratio and condition your hair afterwards if you didn't.

countrygirl2 Sorry for the delay in your DH getting the biopsy but, with luck, the pathology lab may still be able to get the results to you the following week depending on their workload. Waiting for test results is always the hardest thing. As far as your DD's incontinence, you should tell her doctor that the current medication is not effective. There's a ton of different products on the market and some work better for one individual than others. I'm sure the doctor would be willing to try something else to see if it improves the situation. Regarding your ganglion cyst, you said " Sounds like 2 weeks in 1st cast, 2nd 4 weeks, because she said where the bone spur is will leave a hole?? Guess it needs to fill in or something." Are you sure she was talking about the cyst removal surgery because this sounds more like the osteoarthritis reconstruction surgery? Surgery to remove a ganglion cyst normally doesn't require placement of a cast.

Pink, my condolences for you and Mister🥀 Where have you been young lady?! I haven't seen you in forever! I've been hiding from you! Nah. Just a bunch of cat stuff. Been churning through cats and kittens and placing them with fosters, which I am in charge of. I currently have one in my foster room right now. I just went up to Vermont for a couple of days with a friend and stayed at her sister's house. Now I'm gearing up because I decided to change my position at work to one that is more challenging. In other words, more work. I need it. I've been falling asleep at my computer too much so I guess I'm ready for something new.
