I saw this on the news tonight. Texas Governor talking of busing the illegal aliens up to DC and dropping them off on the White House door.

Well according to the ads from people running for the Nebraska State Government it's anyone who appears to have the slightest indication they are of Hispanic descent (brown) and you get them on the bus with a big shiny automatic weapon you are handling like Barney Fife.  While wearing an American flag trucker hat.

And as you load them on the bus you constantly talk about what a good Christian you are.  That is a biggie.  You're not doing it right if you aren't informing everyone that this is the work of Jesus.

I'll get back to you once I finally work out how exactly the Texas boarder is an issue for Nebraska.

I have been saying for several years that the solution to all of this is bureaucrats. We need literally thousands of lawyers, judges and administrators to process refugees and determine their status. The system is so bogged down that it can't do anything. We need a plan to deal with unaccompanied minors to make sure they don't end up on the streets and we need people to monitor those processes. If we had taken the 15B that was spent on the wall and used it to work through the "millions of undocumented people coming across the border" we would be in much better place. We also would have identified all the rapists and murderers and made sure they weren't out raping and murdering our precious white women.

I think it is a great idea to send them to DC - there are more lawyers and bureaucrats there than anywhere else.

I was in Nebraska few weeks ago.  The tv political ads were appalling.  All sound bite, no substance.  Nebraskans really don't have any good choices for governor yet.

The Texas border is an issue for Nebraska because that is where the packing plant employees, feed yard employees and farm workers come from.   The rural economy would be in tough spot if all the workers disappeared.  

If the southern border doesn't provide these workers, the farming and food manufacturing sector will seek out immigrants from other countries.

Oh believe me I am aware of that.  My husband worked for a big meat processor that got busted in 2009 for bussing people INTO the United States and forging documentation so they could work in the plant.  If they were arguing against the wall I would get it because the wall will cause the agriculture industry to stop lining their pockets.

But the Republicans are running on how they will fight hard to fulfill Trump's mission of building a wall.  Not exactly sure how a wall along the Rio Grande is making life in Nebraska better but whatever.

The problem cannot be solved by one person. There is no solution without changing the laws around immigration, but those won't get passed because the GOP base has been convinced our problems are caused by immigration. Not sure why - the GOP used to love all immigrants as they were fairly easy to exploit, added a lot to the work force, and spent every dollar they got - boosting the economy. The best explanation for the flip is racism/xenophobia.

Don't know why any GOPer is complaining about any illegal since most are employed by some other GOPer!  Doesn't matter where they are employed...field hands, meat plants, packing plants, service industry (motels/restaurants), etc...most are employed by a GOP person or right leaning corp.!
