How about we do not comment on someone's clothes unless it is the red carpet, fashion week, or related to the fashion industry. If it is a political figure, stick to their behavior and policy positions. That should be enough for any radio host to disparage.

Corporations are people too and sometimes their unfriend people for posting things they don't like. Oh well.

She thought she was making a very witty comment about ‘brown.’
I’m sure some other radio shock jock station will snap her right up, at a higher salary, because there’s around 30% of the population who find this kind of thing hysterically funny.

I wonder when I read these one-sided stories what more is happening. I find it hard to believe she was fired simply for that one tweet.

I agree that there has to be something else. It does not strike me as a particularly offensive comment. I know I have heard that brown is not a good color on anyone recently. I also noticed Kamala in the brown and was surprised by her choice. I am no fashionista, but it stuck with me that brown was not attractive on anyone b/c I bought a brown outfit last year. I have been trying to reduce the amount of clothing in my closet, so considering getting rid of an outfit that is only a year old and perfectly good.

If Jimmy the Greek got fired for remarking in "less politically correct times" that black people are generally more athletic that white people due to slave owners preference for more athletic slaves, this one can be fired for this blatantly racist comment.

She was using Harris's brown clothing to say that she's useless because she's brown skinned.

Why the need to comment on her clothes? She meant to have this be offensive and funny. It was offensive. More importantly, it was unnecessary. Again, focusing on women's clothes, when they are irrelevant to her profession is ridiculous. She is not a fashion model. Focus on her performance and behavior. Women have enough challenges in politics, whether they are well dressed, fashionable, have a "bad" hairstyle, or any myriad of other superficial factors are just not relevant. She is trying to spin an unnecessary and offensive comment. Just don't say it.

My opinion is she was attempting to be witty. However, she should have realized that she might not be allowed to be so in that particular way based on the full context and hit delete instead of send. And I agree we should all only critique others on relevant issues but most of us fall short of perfection in that area. I see this as a good cautionary tale that no one will learn from.

Look at how much publicity she is getting from her comment. Sure it's negative but would you know her name if she hadn't made the comment? I am, unfortunately, quite sure she will land on her feet with some super uber conservative right wing radio station. She'll be the latest Republican pariah used as a symbol of the fight to end cancel culture. There is zero incentive for her to NOT do what she did in this day and age. Not when the leaders of our country are allowed to behave like Marjorie and get away with it.

She might land on her feet, but they will be planted in a lesser market.

I Don't watch Fox or other Republican News, so I don't know anything about the newsperson, whether or not her statement had an underlying meaning.

I've never heard of her - who did she work for? Were they notably conservative?
If her employer was a right wing propaganda machine like OAN, they did not fire her for a racist comment. The woke mob wouldn't come after her for racism on that channel.
If her employer was a left wing propaganda machine like Mother Jones, they probably fired her for more reasons than this one tweet. The woke mob was probably already screaming.
So, did she work for a moderate source?

I cannot imagine the woke mob being a large enough group of patrons that Cumulus would insist on staffing changes to appease them. I'm guessing they didn't like her performance and someone is using this as an excuse.

Wow! Yesterday we had to do the state mandated sexual harassment training, which often veered off into any questionable behavior - everything eventually boiled down to having institutional CoC, rules, policies, etc, to handle these situations. Break the defined rules, get disciplined/fired. No value judgment, just apply the rules. She broke the corporate rules (designed to protect the corp), she's out. End of story.
