Whaaaa? I thought Pelosi lived in a cesspool of crime?  All the blue cities were lawless and out of control? 

Dems need to do a better job counteracting the fluffing from Fox and the other far right sites.

I’m sure this is fake news. Blue places generally have lower gun ownership rates, so it has to be dangerous.  No good guys with guns.

Looking at least year's numbers, I compared Memphis (where I live) and Chicago (which is called Chiraq by at least one poster here).

Chicago has over four times the population we do and had around 800 murders in 2021 while Memphis had 342. And our governor last year signed into law citizens 21 and older (and some 18 and older (involving military status) legally re able to purchase a firearm and can carry without a permit. Mostly all the state's police forces were against the law.

As someone who lives in one of the murder heavy red areas, I can say with authority the reason for the high numbers are the opioid problem/drugs, poverty, and far more guns than people in the county, and not enough undamaged brain cells to spread around. 

We have ‘meth mountain’ in our county and a couple years back our county voted to block any drug treatment facilities from opening here, because we don’t want ‘those kinds of people’ living here. Yes, we like to pretend that the rampant drug issues don’t exist.

Generally speaking, conservatives/republicans and the likes, yap more about guns and 2A rights while shooting themselves in the foot or looking down the barrel of a loaded gun. They also tend to hoard weapons that they’ll most likely never use but brag about.
Democrats/liberals own weapons but they tend to do it in a responsible manner: instruct themselves in the handling of, most likely served so have the experience of using a weapon and tend to buy weapons that they use or are more likely to be used.
I know a couple liberals that have armories that would scare the hair of off Ted Nugent!😂

This liberal household has an assortment of long guns & hand guns.  We taught our grandkids to shoot every one of them...and, once done shooting...they had to come in & break each gun down & clean it & put it back together.   They may not remember everything we taught them, but at least they know which is the business end of all the guns.  My 2 favorites are my .357 and the 22.250 rifle.  Just wish the ammo for the 22.250 wasn't so expensive!

KS doesn't have any restrictions on who can carry. No classes needed, no permits. It's a free for all around here. It's also a very red state.
