Trump asking supporters to fund new plane after emergency landing
Former President Trump is asking his supporters to help fund his new "Trump Force One" private plane just days after a jet flying him to Mar-a-Lago made an emergency landing when one of its engines failed. Trump, through his Save America PAC, sent his supporters an email titled "Update Trump Force One" in which he said that "my team is building a BRAND NEW Trump Force One." He added that the construction of this plane has been under wraps and said "I can't wait to unveil it for everyone to see." The fundraising email said he had "a very important update on his plane" and asked potential donors if they remember how the former president used to travel across the U.S. in his own "Trump Force One" before he became "the greatest President of all time." The email included a GIF of a plane taking off with a poll giving donors "yes" or "no" options if they wanted to see his new plane. The poll links to a donation page that asks supporters to "Contribute ANY AMOUNT IMMEDIATELY to send your response to President Trump!" The former president was traveling back to his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Fla., from the Four Seasons Hotel in New Orleans in a private jet when the pilot decided to turn around and return to the airport after an engine failed. The news was first reported by Politico and The Washington Post. The jet, a Dassault Falcon 900, was given to Trump by a donor for the evening to travel back from the Republican National Committee retreat in New Orleans to his home in Florida. Trump's personal Boeing 757 was a staple during his 2016 presidential campaign. Last year, it was reported that his Boeing 757 was sitting unused at an Orange County, N.Y., airport unable to be flown. The full-size passenger airliner, which bears Trump's name across the side in large block letters, has fallen into disrepair. One engine is shrink-wrapped and the other is missing parts, according to CNN. Trump asking supporters to fund new plane after emergency landing

Of course, he would ask. I think that's why he loved being President so much, a pool of people to hit up for money for whatever he wants. Some of them are probably used to funding their preacher's planes, so he probably will get $$.

I am sure there are plenty of wealthy people who will be happy to contribute what to them is a pittance to get trump a new plane.
I just read that there are 100 billionaires living in America. I'm guessing that means there are 10s of thousands of people who fall into the income levels between 1 billion and say 5 million dollars... Plenty of people who need or want political action - and will happily pay trump to jump thru a hoop for them.

A person with an average IQ would think "trump has declared multiple times he is a muliti-billionaire. Why can't he pay for his own plane?"

i started a thread on this earlier. what says "Trump" better than this: is this the one he blew millions on bedazzling the interior with gold everything and then left parked on the tarmac somewhere without the required maintenance and now it can’t fly because an engine is shot? The one that had the fake Renoir (the original is in the Chicago Art Institute) before Trump moved it to Trump Tower, still insisting it’s real?

The one that had the fake Renoir (the original is in the Chicago Art Institute) before Trump moved it to Trump Tower, still insisting it’s real? the same. don't forget this: When Donald Trump bought the used Boeing 757 airplane in 2010 from the late Microsoft billionaire Paul Allen, it swiftly became his favorite toy, as he liked to tell friends. Though it was already almost twenty years old, for the next decade, Trump lauded his plane. He was picky about who got to fly on it, where they would sit and how they could move about, says another frequent flier. None of the regular travelers were willing to speak on the record for fear of retribution.
In 2015, just two months prior to announcing his initial candidacy for President, Trump invited some journalists in Iowa aboard for an impromptu press conference -- then chastised them for almost messing up his baby.
"There's one guy very dangerous with that one camera. I'm talking and I'm watching that camera which is about this far from the ceiling, knowing that my day is going to be ruined if they ruin the ceiling," said Trump according to a Des Moines Register report. 57" TV, master bedroom, leather couches, $25k pr hour to operate. it is absolutely decadent in a way that no sane person can appreciate. and he could easily put it back in the air for under a million. but he would rather have his minions buy him a new one. spoiled doesn't even come close to describing his behavior.

Speaking of having no shame. Trump raises money by promising his ‘small’ donors that one of them will win the opportunity of getting flown to his rally - flight and hotel paid for, private meeting with the former president, we can’t wait to see you there, all you have to do is sign up to donate. Then - they never award the prize to anyone. The big donors get to have the meet and greets, but none of the small donors do. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-dinner-sweepstakes-leaves-small-donors-hungry-for-a-winner/ar-AAUXGrlTrump’s campaign says it’s just a mistake, and another prize could/would be awarded. It’s only.a crime if one of the small donors complains that they were lured into donating money for a contest that doesn’t exist, and that won’t happen, so no harm no foul I guess. Just further opportunity to fleece the sheep.

FAKE NEWS! Well, of course it is. His personal plane isn't mothballed; it's undergoing "extensive maintenance" because he thought he would not need it for awhile. That being the case, why did he have to use someone else's plane to get back to Florida? He is so full of shit it clogged one of the engines on that private jet, which explains why it failed over the Gulf.

Why should he spend a million bucks of his own money to fix an engine on his plane when he had minions falling over themselves to let him borrow theirs?
First rule of the grift- don’t spend money on something you can get for free.

I want to see a "yes" "no" option where we can choose if the plane crashes or not.

I want to see a "yes" "no" option where we can choose if the plane crashes or not. One of the articles I read about the aircraft engine failure which caused the emergency landing and which trump was a passenger allowed reader comments. Many to most of the comments were about the readers being glad the flight crew was safe. No comments about trump being safe.

trump rejects 'ridiculous' story that he's using campaign funds for a new 'Trump Force One' planeFormer President Donald Trump denied news reports that he's fundraising for the construction of a new private plane called "Trump Force One." The story was incorrect," Trump told The Hill in a phone interview published Monday night. "I already have a plane, the same one I used on the 2016 campaign." He added that his plane is "owned by me and financed by me, with no debt." Last week Trump's Save America political action committee sent a fundraising email titled "Update: Trump Force One," which touted the reveal of a new plane. "Before becoming the greatest President of all time, I traveled the Country in my plane, known as Trump Force One," read the email signed by Trump, referring to his private plane that he frequently used on the 2016 campaign trail. "I have a very important update on my plane, but I need to trust that you won't share it with anyone: my team is building a BRAND NEW Trump Force One," the email continued. The email did not directly ask potential donors to contribute money for the construction of the plane, but included several links to Trump's donation page. Multiple news reports characterized the email as Trump asking for donations to build a new plane. Trump told the Hill the reporting was "ridiculous." "Can you imagine me using campaign funds for a plane?" he continued.*Trump's PAC sent the fundraising email just hours after news broke that he flew in a GOP donor's private plane that was forced to make an emergency landing over the weekend. Shortly after takeoff in New Orleans on March 9, one of the plane's engines failed, prompting an emergency landing in Louisiana. Trump hitched a ride back to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on a GOP donor's jet, Politico reported. Last year, CNN reported that Trump's private plane was out of commission and sitting idle at a New York airport. Trump told the Hill that his plane is being serviced in Louisiana and should be ready to fly in three months. Trump rejects 'ridiculous' story that he's using campaign funds for a new 'Trump Force One' plane*Yes.

Honestly, I'd have a harder time believing he didn't use campaign funds for a plane!
What a schmuck! I can't think of a word strong enough to describe how much I dislike this man.
