so, there is this: trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov/issues/economy-jobs/let's ignore the cherry picking of the data for a second, and just analyze the first paragraph of this. Before the Coronavirus spread from China across the globe, President Trump helped America build its strongest economy in history. Median household incomes rose to their highest level ever in 2019, while the poverty rate hit an all-time low. Under the Trump Administration, more Americans were employed than ever before—160 million— and the unemployment rate fell to a 50-year low. The unemployment rates for African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, and Americans without a high-school diploma all hit record lows, while the Trump “Blue-Collar Boom” saw wages grow faster for workers than for managers or supervisors.
let's analyze those claims one at a time: first, the median income record was set by every president in recent memory except BUSH2. second, this is true. but Poverty rate went up EVERY YEAR under Bush, and the first two years under Obama, before falling 5% between 2010 and 2019. whose fault was that? i don't know. this is similar to claim #1. total employment records are generally beaten by EVERY president. Obama probably had the worst disadvantage before Biden, yet even HE had record employment by 2016. the claims about unemployment are true, without caveats- except this one- that it came at the end of a record 10 year economic expansion, seven of which had nothing to do with Trump. under Biden, the US economy has added nearly 5M jobs. it took Bush 7 years to do that, Trump 3 years, Reagan 4 years, Obama 6 years. other presidents never got to 5M jobs. only CARTER had better jobs growth (actually, Carter had the best one term job growth of ANY US PRESIDENT, at 12M, but nobody EVER talks about that. in short, i don't really see that Trump has ANY bragging rights, but that won't stop him. opinions?

So many opinions. So little time.
The economy under trump was fine, but I’d take an underperforming economy over his various pathologies. He’s a horrible human who has no regard for anyone other than himself.
