As if life wasn’t stressful enough… now I have to boil my water and rinse all my dishes in a water and bleach solution. Something failed in our county water processing and there’s a risk of bacteria in the water. So no watering the garden, washing hands, dishes or drinking it. I had to toss all my ice cubes and rewash the dishes. No idea how long this will last either. Ugh! I’ve only had to do that twice; once was for a week. It was tedious.

My overall list is much longer than this; this is just for this morning.

DD saw the apartment this morning. It was absolutely perfect, but too expensive. Back to the drawing board.

Congratulations to all, debthaven! Nice list, Knee Deep in Water Chloe. Sorry the water issue continues, startsmart. I put the chocolate covered almond clusters into cupcake liners similar to the color of DH's company and sent them to work with him. Ingredient odds and ends leftover from supper's 7-layer salad also went with him for side salad purposes. When he said they only had light (gasp!) ranch at the shop, I remembered we had a fast-food leftover container of ranch, so he took that, too.

I got everything on the list done plus cleaned up the kitchen and cleaned off the kitchen table. In unpacking everything from our trip, I also rearranged a bit of my closet. I’m a big kid now with a walk-in closet. It’s a bit tricky trying to decide where everything is supposed to go. I cleaned up our main email account which was overrun from the last week of being ignored.
I got a new desk for the new house, and I wanted to put that together today. However, not getting home until 12:30 this morning is starting to set in, so that shall wait until tomorrow. I’m going to read for a bit and go to bed early.

finnime and Knee Deep in Water Chloe you must both be so happy to finally be in your new homes! Just one more heavy week, and I'll basically be off for the summer! I say basically because I'll still have 6-7h of professor/staff classes the last week of July, but all online, plus a lunch. I got my schedule for fall semester today ... Over 2 years I'll have reduced from: - 20.5h/week over 4 days at school in Fall 2020 to - 17h/week over 4 days at school in Fall 2021 to - 14h/week over 3 days at school in Fall 2022 That doesn't count my professor/staff classes, nor the one week/month I'll have to do a 4th day. Those weeks will be hard, but there's only 3 of them (maybe 2). I'm getting there!!!

You definitely are getting there. I know if the church hadn't closed, I would still be doing that for 20 hours a month.
The only time it was time consuming was in January when we had to do W-2's and 1099's and send out letters for contributions. I did work more than 20 hours in January.
I made around $1000 a year working there. It was a nice job with little stress.

That sounds like the perfect job TheOtherMe ! I'm taking it one semester at a time ... I'm already committed for Spring 2023, but for very few hours (6h/week + the Professor/Staff classes).

Water is safe to drink again! Which is good because my garden needs lots of water right now.
Since my family is not coming to visit I have a lot more space and time to work on my to do list. I have some things I really want to get done by my house purchase anniversary and then spread the rest over the summer.

Yay startsmart ! I'm happy for you! They have been redoing the water pipes on our small street for a month. We had to collect enough water for 12 hours twice this week when the water was shut off. Going without water for as long as you did is indeed rough!

I have officially set up our primary bathroom. Whoo hoo! I need more drawer organizers for it, but that will have to wait a bit.

Right on, startsmart! Knee Deep in Water Chloe, I am excited for you! Not much to report on this end. Went to Walmart this morning they were having a Garanimals clearance sale. I may have bought a half dozen pieces for the grandnephew. Have a relaxing 4th of July, everyone!

Set up the office today. It’s been over a decade since I’ve had a true home office space. There’s nothing on the walls yet, but that’s true of the entire house. We’ve decided we can buy a duplicate desk and put it facing the current one. Then, DH and I will each have one.

Just a quick posting.
Spent time going though the my craft room. I have managed to trash several items and added more things to the donation box. Rearranged a lot of items and hope to continue the process later today. Every little bit helps.
Pretty much staying home but took a break yesterday to meet friends for lunch and a movie.

Today was a busy productive day. I spent several hours this morning mowing the back pasture. It is over between half and three quarters done. The sheets are changed on the bed and a couple loads of laundry done. The bathrooms have been cleaned. The swimming pool things I had ordered have been moved to the shop. They had been hanging out in the living room for the last week or so. The vacuum now has a nice plastic tote to keep all the pieces together. The winter cover is stored on a shelf just waiting for fall. The old pool vacuum that was left behind has been hauled to the garbage can. It was taped together and in very questionable condition. I also found some other random stuff in the shop that was added to the garbage can.

Add to my list that I am starting to quilt the color quilt tops I made in 2021 and the red/pink one is up first. I am hopeful that I can do the stitching on one quilt per Sunday for the next 6 weeks and then take a few weekends for binding. I do have a work trip in August so if I get those 6 done by Labor Day I’ll be very happy.
I am also making a new, secret quilt which will be a gift. It needs to be done by January so 6 months for a quilt this size (2,000 pieces is about right.

Some long lists there Knee Deep in Water Chloe and startsmart ! Great progress Sharon ! Last night we went out for our wedding anniversary. Today we picked up our BBQ and firepit (we'd lent them out for last Sunday's BBQ) and went to the sporting goods store for socks and other stuff. I bought yet another fleece. Another arduous week at work. Happily I'm WFH on Wednesday. DH's "little cousin" and his GF arrive Tues for 48 hours. His parents have always been fabulous to us and our kids, so we're very happy to return the favor. I'll be working most of the time but DH will be around. This week- pick up new glasses - pharmacy

Today was a work inside type of day. The morning was spent altering a t-shirt of DSIL. It took longer than expected. I made a macaroni salad for tomorrow and got the kitchen cleaned up. I also moved two rather larger boxes that were hanging out in the kitchen to the garage.
Then I went down the rabbit hole that is my desk. The desk is straightened up, shredding is caught up and shredder emptied. Bills are paid/YNAB is up to date. My home improvement spreadsheet is now up to date. In the living room I consolidated the barbie stuff to two totes and broke down the cardboard box that had been used to move some excess barbie stuff. The moving company had left some moving blankets here and I was always going to drop them off when I went back to visit my Mom. That hasn't happened in 7 months so they got put into a tote and moved to the shop. The living room has very little furniture because I use the family room in the back of the house as the main area for sitting/watching TV etc.

Decluttering the fridge. Got the middle shelf done and am working on the top one. Sad how I stuffed somethings to the back. Icky scraping out glass jars so they can be recycled. Already very humid and possibly 80+ degrees already.

I set my alarm for 6:30 this morning then hit snooze. Woke up in a panic at 6.39. Got out at 7.15 to find my tiny, narrow street full of working vehicles that were redoing the pipes. When the two vehicles saw me get into my car, they spontaneously backed up so I could get out. Two more early starts this week, then (basically) done till September!!!

Today I have a couple of teenagers coming to help me move stuff to storage and move furniture around the house. Tomorrow, the window washer/power washer is scheduled to do the windows, sidewalk to the front door, and the garage door. I need to get a plumber out here, maybe Thursday? Friday I have a hair appointment. Saturday, the realtor is coming with the photographer so everything needs to be cleaned and staged by then.
So if you look at what is scheduled, it doesn't seem like much - just one thing per day. It's the work I'll be doing between those appointments that will keep me busy.

I cleaned out two laundry baskets. They were stacked one on top of the other with seldom used clothes and socks. I did make a bag for 2nd hand store. Maybe I should save them the trouble of trashing some of it. The churches had huge rummage sales early in June so the 2nd hand stores and a lot of charitable organizations are overwhelmed. Then they asked for shoes. I took in decent shoes. The shoes I wore when I broke my wrist on the tennis court were brand new. A friend said y.a. to get rid of them as they might be cursed. They are gone. When I looked at some in a grocery bag, those should have gone to the tennis shoe recycler. Yes it's easier to let someone else take them.

I will be doing laundry and packing for Toronto tomorrow. Also have to run in to town to pick up some last minute things and get my car washed off all that gravel dust from my sister's road. Going to have them clean the inside this time.
After I get back from that tomorrow, I will get the car loaded so I can get an early start on Thursday.

Have a fantastic trip, TheOtherMe . Nice lists, startsmart and Knee Deep in Water Chloe ! Speaking of traveling, I am asking my well-traveled friends the following: On a long flight, what is the one thing you are grateful to have with you? Most friends respond with an average of 3 items. What say ye? ETA: I forgot to mention niece1 said the outfits were cute and thanked me for them.

Ooh Iggy that’s a hard one! I’d say book, fleece/sweater, and slip-on shoes. Also, I am a clumsy eater so I usually wear dark clothing on flights.
Safe trip TheO!
Had a lovely evening with the little cousins! So funny to see W all grown up w a lovely girlfriend lol.
WFH tomorrow, so I don’t have to wake up at 6.15.
