I finally got ahold of the guy who does rocks around here and I have 7 tons of rocks coming for my driveway next week!!
(Being an adult means getting excited over rocks lol)
That means this weekend I need to hustle on clearing the space of loose dirt, weeds and debris. I’d also like to move the mulch, rocks and dirt into the yard (30+ bags) and the bricks about 350 bricks) but that shall depend on my energy reserves.
The pool is slowly filling up and we have rainstorms on and off for the coming week. I planted radishes and pumpkins and the flowers and hostas are thriving so far.

I don’t have a master plan yet, but I’ve slowly started decluttering. Mostly random items that should’ve been trashed a long time ago (that is always the easiest way for me to start, by throwing crap away) and clothes. When I run across clothing items that I know I’ll never wear again, I either throw them in the trash, or if they’re in good condition, in a large garbage bag that will be going to the Goodwill. It’s still not a concentrated effort, but I’m gaining steam. I will report back when I get to the point that I’m really in the weeds with it.

I've started a task that I've been putting off for YEARS: scanning photographs into digital. Even though I'm about 0.01% done, I feel so accomplished.

This weekend
- get grammar marks/Fri
- get vocabulary marks/Fri
- mark 18/30 essays/Fri - calculate and input 18/30 finals marks/Fri
- mark 12/30 essays/Sat - calculate and input 12/30 finals marks - post office/Sat
We took DD out to lunch and to the airport. Then I marked 18 15/30 essays and extracted all the MCQ marks. That's enough for today.

I'm still slowly moving along. The bed frame is finally gone! It didn't get any takers on the free Facebook site so bulk trash picked it up today. It's great to finally have that out of the entry way.
I worked on cleaning up the backyard last night. All the old citronella candles, rotted flower pots and water logged landscape lights were pitched.

Started a new quilt last week and hoping to post a weekly pic to track progress. Here’s week 1: imgur.com/gallery/RyMAqacI may get a LOT of sewing done this weekend because my foot is super painful and I may not get done all the yard work I have planned. I am icing the foot and hoping that helps.

startsmart, what a pretty quilt! I like the different hues. Spent the entire day yesterday in the big city doing errands: ~Truck serviced and the body shop touched up a driver's side door scratch for free. ~Went by Natural Grocers for a few things ~Recycled ink cartridges at Office Depot and looked in vain for a new laser printer. Guess online is my best bet. ~Met with a lovely client in her home ~Stopped for a bite to eat ~Bought a cowboy hat for the upcoming county fair ~Picked up the Sam's Club order ~Bought some cute clothes for an upcoming trip Not sure what is going on this weekend. The snow did indeed arrive today..... Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Just a quick check in. I need to get busy doing a few things that I have placed on the back burner now that the classes are finished for the summer. My two projects are still not coml=pleted but some progress has been made on both. I have managed to get several plants repotted this last week or so and I think that several more will need to be done as well. startsmart -- Love the colors of the newest quilt in progress. debthaven -- So glad that you are almost finished with this rough semester. Iggy aka IG -- great job on getting it all done as well. @pinkcshmere -- Welcome. Remember every one item out is one less you have to deal with again. Glad that you joined us.

Unfortunately, we ended up in an area where it's too far away for me to shop there on a regular basis. I'm completely guessing here, but I think I'm about 5% done with picture scanning. Have a great weekend all.

startsmart The quilt is beautiful! Hope your foot heals quickly. megaptera I think at 5% you are way ahead of me, but I have acquired so much more than when I first started. Family is correct in that the family historian will want it.

It's still early. I have rearranged some furniture to make my new power recliner work better.
I am trying to figure out if I can move the couch to the bedroom that is now serving as a den. It's been on the kitchen/dining area far too long.
Laundry is started.
Cats are chasing each other already.

Maybe today I will find out when the Toronto family will be here to drop off the Toddler at his grandma's while they go to Costa Rica.
Packages have started arriving. I'm told to expect many and these will be taken to Costa Rica. At least I know these packages are not permanent residents in my home.

This morning I have been busy. Took the car in for its yearly checkup and while I was there the AC people called to set up that semi-annual checkup as well. I just finished with that inspection a few minutes ago. Both the car and the home AC checked out fine so I should be good for a while. Also the lawn service came and I managed to get a load of laundry completely finished. I did manage to finish one of the major projects this weekend and progress comtinues on the second one. I also started a bracelet as it was a new to me stitch and that it would be an easy to take and work on while I was waiting for my car. I have that about half done. I hope to finish both of these projects before my retreat starts in a few weeks and I will then have four new projects in various stages of completion. All of my kits came in so I think that I will be ready to start when the time arrives. Definitely want to finish I am so close to the end before I start those. All of my classes are over for the summer and currently have no plans for travel so having lots of projects on hand plus continuing to toss thinds as I go through the closets again will keep me busy. TheOtherMe -- Hope that you will be able to spend time with the Toddler.

Congrats on classes being over moneysquirrel ! Enjoy the more relaxed pace of summer. This week- annual review Job 2 (online)/Mon - get E birthday outfit/Mon - get I birthday toy/Mon
- meeting Job 2 (online)/Tues - get wedding card/Tues - get E birthday toy/game You may remember I gave up a 30h class for next semester. I'm losing 19 more hours because I won't be back early enough to do the extra remedial courses I usually do. I can't afford to lose 49 hours, so I agreed to go in one extra day/month for 4 months for the apprentices (those groups only meet once/month.) So I'm only down 33 hours.

The Toddler and his parents plan to arrive in Mid June. After a couple days of getting him acclimated, they leave for Costa Rica for a week. Don't know how long they will stay when they pick him up but it didn't sound like long. I am finding it more and more curious that they are not in touch at all with his MIL, who left Toronto for Lincoln, Nebraska. I still have time around July 11 marked off to go to Toronto to watch the Toddler while his parents go to Buffalo for some kind of music festival. That will not be a long trip. I am thinking of stopping by a cemetery in Ohio on the way home. The one where I went last year and couldn't find the cemetery. It's about 5 hours from Toronto so it would cost me 2 additional nights. I will probably not be staying in the guest suite so this is quite doable.

Happy Victoria Day to folks up north! This weekend was filled with admiring my new tattoo, LOL, the usual chores, and socializing with too many neighbors. This evening's goal is to wash downstairs area rugs and sweep the dust bunnies out the coat closet. I am taking Friday off which will result in a four-day weekend.

Rested my foot most of the weekend and while it's not better it's not excruciating to walk. Which is good because I needed some groceries and to pick up from the auction today (thankfully they will load everything but driving is a pain).
Next week I am going out of town for a couple days so more rest is in my future.
Tomorrow I have 7 tons of rocks for my driveway being delivered and I am praying that they will and drive so I don't end up with a mount of rocks to move. While it might be easier than the load of dirt because it's staying where it's dumped, I do not have the ability right now to be out there moving any rocks.
One piece of good news is that my quilt is coming along really nicely! Helps when you're stuck in bed with an ice pack and need a distraction.

I've been bustling around, getting PT and preparing meals and planning for the next home and paying no attention at all to the fact that Memorial Day is one week away. Which means that we close on the house that Thursday, next week. That was fast.
