Treading Water Chloe, I love how direct the app is with us: you are walking more or less than this time last week/year. Sometimes I catch myself making excuses to the report, like it was a Dr sitting there telling me about my activity level!

Fasted at least 18 hours 6/7 days, stayed below calories 4/7 days. An improvement from other times. I wore the jeans yesterday, they weren’t tighter than before. Possibly a little looser? They are stretchy, so not the easiest pants to judge.

Weekly check in
Did not hit step goal. Set a higher goal with the hope of getting in 10,000 steps one of the weekend days. Saturday night to Sunday morning I did not sleep well and opted to go to bed Sunday instead of getting in steps. Missed goal by 2700.
Hit water goal.
Hit not eat after 9:00 PM.
Not so good at getting to bed by 11:00.
Hit water goal.
This week goals: 1. Step goal 53,000 steps 2. Water average 42 ounces 3. No eating after 9:00 PM 4. Go to bed no later than 11:00 on work nights

Happy Monday, everyone!
One of the things I've been trying to remember to do in my nutrition journal is count how many different fruits and veggies I eat. When that number starts to dwindle, I know it's time to redirect my focus.

I really should add remembering to take my vitamins for a goal. I suck at that. One of the reasons I never went with a BC pill before

NSV - While my jeans have gotten looser, I have not gone down a full size yet. I have had to wear a belt for several months. Last month, the belt that I wear to work daily had gotten too big - even after DH put 2 extra holes in it. So, I got a new belt. One that when I put it on I had to use the first hole. I figured this would be a good reminder to keep me in check. The NSV is that this morning I am firmly in the second hole with no muffin top! I will take my wins where I can get them!

“Suitcase living” is impacting my diet choices, have not made good choices since last week. We get our own home tonight, so I will be able to start up new healthy habits once more. Well, we stay in the new place tonight, then go out of town til Tuesday. So I will attempt to make better choices while traveling, at least, and look forward to building healthy habits in my new kitchen soon.

I had pizza and junk food today with my 3rd block for their pizza party. I don't think my body liked it a lot. But it was fun.

I've been forgetting to take my iron. Everything has been packed away with getting ready for the house sale. Now that it's sold I can leave the bottle out where I'll see it. My nails are still a real mess, so I suppose my iron levels are still problematically low.

Continuing to stretch, etc. after work. Based on the popping my back does, it appreciates it after sitting in the office chair most of the day. I do get up and walk around, go fetch the mail, etc. Other personal care includes a dental cleaning today, and a hair appointment for the first time since November. Oh, and a belated upcoming long weekend away.
Regarding water, a friend says her sister uses the penny method. Stack 8 pennies where you see them and move one each time you drink a cup of water. I tried it for a while here at the office, and it did seem to work.

Trying to find motivation. I am done with my meetings, so on spring break. I could/should go to the gym before the store. But even going to the store is making me want to curl up under blankets and sleep. The part of me that is winning is just the part that doesn't care.

Got a good 3 mile walk/run in with Franklin the Dog yesterday, in time before snow hits us. Today will be spent on house stuff. With selling the house as a priority, intermittent fasting has gone by the wayside for the past 2 weeks. My start again as of Monday.

Update: Start Current Weight 213.5 209.4 Abdomen 44" 44" Exercise this week: 3/3 Dairy Queen: 0/0 Average daily calories last week: 1302/day
Slow and steady, kept the naysayers buried for a week. I'd like to get to 205 by April 1 as a short term goal, without jeopardizing the long term. Maybe I should take up Irish dance; those people are all thin as rails.

I think I’m in (again). I exercised with my neighbor Wednesday. By myself the next time. I want to keep it up, neighbor and I were having scheduling difficulties. I’ve pieced together the body weight circuits I use to do. I couldn’t do all the reps for every exercise for even 1 circuit lol. For example, I could do 10 squats, but only 4 lunges for each leg. I could hold the plank, but couldn’t do 30 jumping jacks. So my first goal is to be able to do the whole circuit. Gotta start somewhere, right? Now I need to figure food out and get back to better eating habits. I’ve realized it’s even more difficult when I’m the only person in the house interested in eating better. But I have to get past that and just do my own thing. That will require ignoring what everyone else is eating, which is not easy.

160lb today. So 1lb down from last week. Considering I made no goals besides survive the week before spring break, enjoyed the pizza party with the kids Wed and Restaurant week with my aunt Friday, so 2 really calories heavy days I am not going to complain. Another positive spin is at least it seems that once I am done losing, maintaining shouldn't be to hard.

Did the girly thing last week, so I ignored all rational healthy choices. Chocolate consumption was waaaayy up. I'm going to track calories this week and get back to some semblances of reason. Here is the step count from last week:

Hi Gang! Nothing exciting to report, but I AM maintaining the weight I've lost. I'm wondering, once the weather improves, if increased activity will automatically result in more weight being lost? For the time being, I'm content with what I've lost to date.
My only complaint is, with our colder-than-average temps, I've been getting more ankle & joint pain. I've just been pushing through & doing my steps. If the pain continues into the warmer months, I might have the doctor check to see if something is going on.

I tracked my calories today for the first time in a few weeks. 1,622 total 157 carbs 27 g sugars
Not great but not horrible. I should have skipped the chips and salsa snack and the red wine I had after dinner.

Weekly check in
Hit step and water goal. Had a couple of nights of eating after 9:00. A little bit better at getting to bed before 11:00 PM on work nights.
This week's goals:
1. Step goal 51000. 2. Average 43 ounces of water a day. 3. No eating after 9:00 PM 4. Go to bed by 11:00 on work nights,
I have noticed the more tired I am the more I crave sweets. So, I really need to work on getting proper rest.
At least there was no weight gain.
01/01/19 177.2 01/01/20 165.2 01/01/21 169.0 01/01/22 167.2 02/01/22 166.8 03/01/22 169.0 03/07/22 168.8 03/14/22 168.8

3/07 203.4 3/14 203.7 (TMI - would've been less but I had to be into work early, so this is before my morning constitution)
Been getting in plenty of steps, and keeping with my 80oz water goal. I have one coworker trying to encourage me to do 8 bottles of water a day, but I am happy with the 5. My urine is always clear, and that is good enough for me. I know she uses it more so that she eats less, but with my 18 hour fasting being consistent I do not see the need to fill myself up with water all day.
I also need to add in the vitamins and will try to remember them with my first after fast meal/snack. I have them packed in my lunch bag.

I did hit 10,000 steps on Saturday. First time since I broke my arm on June 28th.

I’m back after break. I picked up a scale finally because I needed to know. Ugh. Well, now I know.
3/16 New starting weight 152.8. Initial goal weight under 140, ideally 135 for wiggle room.
I fasted 18 hours and stayed below calorie target yesterday. 3 servings of veggies. Veggies help stretch my calories so I’m really trying to get more of those. I tried these pickled veggies they sell here, they were tasty and may be a good snack for me. I go overboard on most carb-y snack foods so it’s easier for me to just find something else.

Excellent job everyone!
A quick check in. Down 3 pounds which I attribute to vegetable heavy suppers, more water, and less adult beverages. Been averaging 2,600 steps daily which I plan on doubling once I start the treadmill again. No stretching, etc. for several days using various excuses (tired, got home late) which I'll address.

I've been putting in extra effort to drink more water today. The sound of the snow melting off of the roof is a good reminder.
