And if someone did shoot him, that would have been his stupid tax for going to a riot in the first place. Just like the two he killed paid the stupid tax. I think Huber paid the unsuccessful hero tax. It was dangerous, but I give him major credit for trying to stop what he believed was an active shooter situation. Just like I give Kyle major credit for showing up and attempting to help stop the burning down of Kenosha, since the cops didn’t do anything.

Ironically, probably the only conviction in all this mess will be of Dominick David Black. Felony charges filed against 19-year-old who allegedly bought rifle for Kyle RittenhouseWhen Kyle Rittenhouse allegedly shot and killed two people and seriously wounded another man in August during racial justice protests in Kenosha, Wis., he used an assault rifle that authorities said a friend had bought for him. At 17, Rittenhouse was too young to have legally bought the Smith & Wesson M & P-15 rifle himself. Prosecutors have charged that friend, 19-year-old Dominick David Black, with two felony counts of intentionally selling a gun to a minor. Black made his first court appearance on Monday in the Kenosha County Circuit Court. Authorities say Black bought the rifle in April for Rittenhouse, who then allegedly used the gun on Aug. 25 to shoot and kill Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, and to seriously injure Gaige Grosskreutz, 26, during civil unrest sparked by the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black Kenosha resident. It may be in his future. Karma just might be around the corner waiting for him. Not necessarily. I’m going to assume that Kyle will be well armed foe the rest of his life. In a crisis situation, my money is on the 18 year old kid and not some cry-baby upset that the verdict didn’t go the way he wanted. One such person pulled a gun on Kyle and now has a non-functioning are to show for his attempt. The fact that so many of you are wishing for the death of an 18 year old kid is just mystifying. Maybe, maybe not. Rittenhouse can't watch his back 24/7 365 days a year. A burden he brought upon himself.

Kyle is free to kill again, and this guy is free to rape again. Both white. A man who pleaded guilty to the rape and sexual assault of four teenage girls will avoid prison time after a New York state judge said time behind bars would be inappropriate. Christopher Belter, now 20, entered a plea deal in 2019 in which he agreed to plead guilty to attempted first-degree sexual abuse, third-degree rape and two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, according to court documents. The charges stem from four separate incidents in 2017 and 2018 in Lewiston, New York, the documents state. He and the victims were all under 18 at the time. www.cnn.com/2021/11/21/us/chris-belter-assault-sentence/index.html

I was just reading that Don Trump Jr offered to buy Rittenhouse a new AR15. What an ass. Rittenhouse still has to live with the fact he killed 2 people. Unless he’s a complete sociopath, that’s got to bother him. And don’t even get me started on Gosar and Gaetz offering him internships. I wish everyone named Trump would just go away. I don’t know how I would feel if I were Kyle. I’ve seen the videos and I truly believe him when he says he was in fear for his life. I would have been in fear for my life. I think he will be forever changed by this. I was once an invincible 17 year old who thought nothing bad would happen. He now has to live knowing he was almost killed and the only thing that saved him was taking 2 lives. In a kill or be killed situation I think I could pull the trigger. I honestly don’t know how I would feel after I know 3 cops who have shot people, completely in self defense. One was backed into a corner with a knife at his throat, 2 were shot by the guy first. None of them are the same since. ETA: I also agree anyone named trump needs to go away.

It is really hard to out myself in those shoes as I’ve never killed someone. I like to think I could pull the trigger to save my life or that of my family. Im honestly not sure if I would feel remorse since the person was trying to kill me or my family. Im not saying I wouldn’t. But in a hypothetical situation, im not sure how upset I would be. If I accidentally killed an innocent person I could never forgive myself. But someone trying to kill me?

I like the part where you say “let the cops do their job”. Yet support Rittenhouse not letting the cops do their job. So I guess if you end up dead, too bad for you. But if you were the killer, congrats! You defended yourself exquisitely. I guess you can’t read context. I was parroting the person to which I was replying. Whatever you say and I can say the same to you.

So yes, if people are actively trying to kill him, then I hope he blows as many away as he can The difference between you and me is that you are wishing death on a 17 year old kid who did nothing but defend himself from attackers. I only think those actively trying to kill people should die. We are not the same. I am not an evil person who wishes death on innocent people. Twist it however you want, nowhere in this thread did I ever wish death on someone that wasn’t trying to kill someone else (in hypothetical situations). I believe in our right to defend ourselves. Many comments on this thread are hoping for an 18 year old kid to be hunted down and killed. That’s speaks of who you are as a human being, not me.

Every comment I made was in response to people wishing death on Kyle (posters). Opti mentioned a scenario where “people” killed him by launching fire at him. Damn right if people are going to kill him in cold blood that I hope he takes out as many of those fuckers as he can. Only in liberal land can you wish death on an 18 year old and then try to turn it around on me when I say I hope he takes as many of those trying to KILL him down with him. You are all bat shit fucking crazy!

Nobody here is is 'actively trying to kill him'. In any case, he's ONE person. You're wishing death on a LOT of people.
Careful there, on your high horse. It's a long way down.

If a police officer had told Rittenhiuse to drop the gun and he didn’t comply, he would be dead right now. That isn’t what happened. You are comparing apples and oranges to fit your narrative. Kyle was legally allowed to carry that weapon where he was. He was attacked and defended himself. He got lucky because he could have very well been shot by the last guy or had one of the other guys incapacitate him before he could get a shot off It’s too bad someone didn’t shoot him to death. Self defense of course. Is this the satire that you are claiming I don’t understand?

I sure hope he takes a lot down with him with his AR-15 before he dies, though I see I wasn't clear enough and you saw it different than I intended. It feels like there is a belief that if non police stand places with their guns, it will stop people from setting things on fire. I do not believe that works every time.

Yes, I did read it much different than you intended. Probably because your reply was in the midst of the others wishing death and Karma on Kyle so that was where my mindset was when I read your reply There are thing police can do to stop riots without using gunfire. A water canon comes to mind. But nope, cops in these places were told to stand down and let the destruction take place. I can understand the frustration of people that disagreed with letting rioters burn these towns down. If the government won’t protect you, you band together and protect yourself. I’m just glad I live far enough away from these kinds of place so hopefully it will never impact me. I don’t really care if people want to burn down their town, as long as it isn’t MY town

I don't think right wingers understand how much they are pushing for outright war. Historically when the majority of people feel they can't get justice through the current justice system there ends up being a revolution. And they've made sure everyone can get their hands on weapons to participate.

And they've made sure everyone can get their hands on weapons to participate. When a bunch of people start burning down the town, they’ve already declared war. Our government stood down and allowed them to do it. If the government did its job, no private citizen would have felt the need to protect the city. Do I want people waking around armed to the teeth? Of course not. That scares the hell out of me. On the other hand, the government allowing our cities to burn also scares the hell out of me. Given where I live and our demographics I should be insulated from all of this. But at some point these idiots will stop burning down their own towns and perhaps come after mine. Damn right I want the ability to protect what’s mine if the government won’t.

This is what I worry about. Sorry, but I am not going to trust that a yahoo with a gun is intending to do the right thing. On Friday, as Kyle Rittenhouse stood in a courtroom in Kenosha, Wisconsin, awaiting the verdict in his trial, a large bald man with mutton-chop sideburns sat in a pew several rows behind him. As a court clerk announced Rittenhouse’s acquittal on all charges, a faint smile passed across the man’s lips.
“I’m walking on sunshine,” the man, Kevin Mathewson, said the next day. A local private investigator and former city alderman, he had attended every day of the trial, in which he had more than a passing interest.
Mathewson had become a prominent and divisive figure in Kenosha. Days after George Floyd was killed by a police officer in Minneapolis, Mathewson had created an organization called the Kenosha Guard, an armed group that declared its intent in a Facebook post “to deter rioting/looting” amid racial justice demonstrations in Kenosha. In August 2020, after the police shooting of a Black man named Jacob Blake brought a wave of protests and rioting to the city, Mathewson had written on the Kenosha Guard’s Facebook page urging Kenoshans to take to the streets with guns to defend the city. His Aug. 25 post went viral, drawing thousands of RSVPs and comments threatening violence.
Mathewson’s call to arms was one of several in Kenosha that day, which collectively brought dozens of mostly white armed paramilitaries into the streets of the city’s small downtown, creating a heavily armed confrontation with demonstrators that came to a head with the Rittenhouse shootings. Mathewson went home hours before the shootings, and no evidence ever connected Rittenhouse — whom Mathewson said he had never met — to his Facebook post. But his proximity to the incident led to him being banned from Facebook, where his Aug. 25 post had been flagged repeatedly for violating the platform’s ban on militia activity and had left an aura of suspicion around him.
Now that Rittenhouse had been acquitted, Mathewson felt cleared by association. “It vindicates Kyle,” Mathewson said. “I felt vindicated by it.” And, he said, “It vindicates people that say, ‘Look, no one’s coming to help, we have to help ourselves.’”
The Rittenhouse shootings, and the clash between paramilitaries and demonstrators in which they occurred, represented the lethal culmination of this idea: that the United States had reached a point of crisis in which citizens were required to take up arms to defend it from their fellow citizens. It was an idea with deep roots in American history, and also one deeply entangled with the country’s legacy of racial conflict. link
