That is very weird they did not just drive him. I bet they will be surprised on the cost of the ambulance.

Now we are ambulance shamers? What will the ambulance chasers do to earn their living?

The article is a little confusing. Were there "parents" or "parent" there? The article keeps saying "parent", and the commenters are saying "parents". I imagine there are people out there who can not handle these situations well - trying to wrangle a traumatized 4YO into a car seat in the back, screaming the entire way down the road could have caused some people to react in way that could have caused even more emergencies.
I have no issue with suggesting that were other ways to handle the situation, but a lot of people on the internet take things too far when they do not have the whole picture.

Maybe the pumpkin patch people/owner wanted emergency there for liability purposes! The parent/parents will be slammed no matter what they did! Everybody else is so fucking perfect under all circumstances!

My sister in law does not handle these type of things with her kids at all. When her son got a cut requiring stitches, she called my DH screaming in a panic. He had to go to her house and handle it. Some people just can't handle it.

It mentions in the article they did not take their kid to the ER the day he was bit. They took him after the finger became infected. The Tik Tok videos are heavily edited to make a point.
In "part 2" of the video, the parent said the baby's finger became infected which is why they brought him to the hospital. Footage showed the child in a hospital bed with an IV in his arm. The parent said the child was recovering from the infection.
"We didn't take him right away," the child's parent wrote in the comments of the video. "We didn't know it was going to get infected till we got home it started swelling and discharging."
Tik Tok embellishing the truth to get a reaction? Shocking I tell you shocking!
And I am sorry but given what I know of zoonotic diseases I would not just hop over to the pediatric office and hope they know what's going on with my kid's finger. It's one of the few times I'd be safe rather than sorry. I'd rather look like I'm wasting health care dollars than chance losing my kids' finger or worse. Would I call an ambulance? No but then I live less than 10 minutes away from two hospitals and 15 minutes away from two more so we can easily drive. I'm not going to fault the parents for a moment of panic though.
