Red Lobster was one of the first places DD and I ate after covid. We won't go back either, the quality has really gone downhill. It was somewhat questionable long ago but now forget it. Yet Red Lobster is very popular here in Memphis. These poor souls who think RL is great have never had fresh and local seafood. Kind of like pizza. Pizza Hut is often rated the best pizza in Memphis, citizens here have never traveled to pizza meccas like Chicago, NYC and New Haven, CT (my particular favorite place for pizza). Red Lobster is nasty. Coletta’s pizza is good. Not the one on Appling. You gotta go to the original one, in the ‘hood….. South Memphis, on S. Parkway, just off the expressway. ExLines is pretty good too. A lot of people really like Broadway, it’s not that great to me. Those are my favorite pizzas here, doesn’t mean they compare to good pizza in other places. Some of the best food like good, juicy hamburgers, bbq, and soul food is found in the ‘hoods. Tourists love Rendezvous bbq. There is much better bbq in the area.

I was just at the grocery store and the king crab legs were $45/lb!!!! I spent all my food stamps on them. But seriously, I usually serve them at Christmas. I don’t think that is happening this year. Yep. I saw that. Lump crab meat (if you can find it) costs $30 for a small container.
