I want another dog so I can use the name Sex Fruit. 🐶 What about a chicken by that name? 🐔 Bwahaha 🤣 Seriously, didn't you think some were ridiculous? Like Sex Fruit! Whose going to name their kid that? And what's wrong with Linda? Does it contain letters not in their language?

Not intended to keep it, or use it. Santa Claus passed in the USA, which was kind of surprising, but not that odd, or outrageous.

It is a combination of sounds not common in Arabic names, so it sounds foreign, which is apparently sufficient reason to ban it.

Stone - rejected because “a child cannot identify with it, because it is an object and not a first name.” A friend has a son named Stone. Also, Slate, Clay, and Cole (not Coal, but still sounds like...). She's got a theme running here - I believe she's trained as a geologist.

I used to work at a facility that had a lot of recent immigrants working there. The East Indian people used to ALWAYS say my name when starting to talk to me (it was weird because no one else did). After several years, one of them let slip that my name in English sounded just like the beginning of a prayer for good fortune in their native language. So they preferred talking to me over anyone else. ❤ I also used to find gifts of food on my desk.

This reminded me about the colleague whose son had a friend named Seven. Seven had a sister named Trillion. Their parents were mathematicians. The reason for rejecting the name Stone in Germany seems a tad contrived since they already have a prohibition on using surnames as first names and Stein is a fairly common German surname. Maybe someone on the naming committee just really didn't like the name Stone and wanted to make doubly sure no one named their child Stone (or Stein).

I kind of wanted to name DS5 Quintus - because, duh, he's the fifth child! So I could see Seven (I'd prefer Septimus), but Trillion?

I'm glad my parents didn't name me Five. All the girls names started with C.

My son's name had to be English, French, Hebrew and Russian. Not an easy task.
Good thing I like the name Simon. Everybody was happy. Not too common in North America, but very common in the UK.
SImon, siMON, Shimon and Simeon.

SImon, SiMON, Shimon and Simeon. I like Simon. But I also like Daniel. I generally prefer full, or given names to nick names. Michael vs Mike
