as far as gas prices go, i get why people fret about it. i do. it is money they have to spend, pretty much every week, and so they are KEENLY aware of it. but how many of you can guess what the average price of gas has been for the last century? $3.20so, yeah. we are 50% over that now, and nearing a record high. but this is not truly that unusual. it only SEEMS abnormal because grandpa can remember filling up for $1/gallon (when prices were 1/3 of what they are now):

i stared at that chart for quite a while last night and realized that gas prices were in an 80 year inflation adjusted BEAR MARKET.
we got spoiled on cheap gas. since then, it has been regression to the mean.

Just remember, that does not mean these candidates will not win in November in the great Red Wave I guess they could run a write-in campaign and still win. However since they were not supported by a majority of GOP primary voters and would be running against a Republican who had more support, not really seeing how they would get a majority of votes in the general election.

Just remember, that does not mean these candidates will not win in November in the great Red Wave Thought I would spend a little time and energy this am to detail the absurdity of this post. First thing - Here are the rules for voting: The CPR News voter guide to Colorado’s 2022 primary elections: How to vote, who’s running and more to know. So Republican ballots were mailed to registered Republicans and unaffiliated voters. Filled in ballots could be mailed back or placed in drop boxes. Voting in person was an option also. I can't find specifically if the same access to a Republican ballot applied but will assume they do. It looks like any voter who was at all motivated to vote could do so easily. Results for the 3 election deniers: Governor-Greg Lopez 46.3% Senate-Ron Hanks 45.53% Secretary of State-Tina Peters 28.76% Keep in mind, those are voting percentages in a Republican primary. That would mean that in a general election, these candidates would have to convince motivated Republican primary voters to change their vote preference and/or get less motivated voters to write in their names in order to gain more votes than the Republican who will appear on the ballot and just require an "X" next to their name. And that wouldn't guarantee them victory over the Democratic candidate. Value Buy just remember when you respond to one of my posts, you need to bring your A game (if you have one).

I agree with you - just wondering if any of them might already have another line they appear on. For example, in my area the incumbent in the County Clerk position (stepping stone to Co Exec, and then higher office) is a sometimes Democrat, mostly votes independent (little *i* meaning neither D/R consistent, not Independent party), but already was the endorsed Republican candidate. His opponent recently switched party affiliations from Republican to Democrat, and they were battling it out in Tuesday's primary for the D line. Opponent won that. It's really confusing. But before a recent change, candidates could run on all sorts of odd party lines simultaneously: Conservative, Independent, Working Families, etc.

Only thing I saw was parties other than R and D use conventions to nominate, not primary elections.

It was a fucking totally partisan hack response to a post about an American victory. It had nothing to do with the other guys. It was simply about a set of candidates who were a danger to our country. It was a celebration of decent human beings voting to not advance them to the general election. If the voters of Colorado elect the other Republicans, they will take office in a peaceful transfer of power. And I have faith that if they lose, they will graciously admit defeat. You need to clue in to the reality this country is facing.

Don't count on the supposed party of LAW AND ORDER to ever face the reality this country is facing. They have bought into Trump's version of government: owning the libs is all that matters. They do not care what they have to do to achieve that goal. Cheat, lie, steal....
If they had any sense, they could see right through Trump's big lie. He started the same shit when he lost in the primary to Ted Cruz, thought he was going to lose to Hillary, and ran his big mouth about the election being rigged. All the way through till 2020. And if they can't see through his BS, we really don't have a country anymore.
When someone who fought for this country will not answer a question of even post on the coup he tried, think we have a country? All he comes on here for is to follow his leader's example: own the libs
Our founding fathers must be so proud.

Democrat Tim Ryan has a wide lead over JD Vance in the Ohio race for the Senate.
I liked Vance’s book and I liked him prior to him running for office, back when he was anti Trump.
Then he took the plunge into MAGA world.

Yea. The ad just screams "unite people from across the ideological spectrum." Conservative pastor brandishes AR-15 against 'Democrats in klan hoods' in viral campaign adJerone Davison (R-AZ), a congressional candidate in Arizona's 4th District, uses an AR-15 to scare off the KKK (Klu Klux Klan) in a viral campaign ad released Wednesday. The ad opens with white hooded figures holding a bat and menacing through a yard, while Davison casually sips on an American flag mug before folding his hands to pray. Davison, a former Arizona State University student and NFL player, is running against four other Republicans in the highly competitive congressional race, in hopes of representing his party on the ballot in November. "The media wants to divide us. Red vs Blue. Black vs White. Man vs Woman. Poor vs Rich," the pastor wrote on his campaign site. www.racetothewh.com/senate/2022Democrats are up to 55%. tossup states are still Nevada, Georgia, PA. Democrats are still favored in three of the four. Republicans have to WIN two of the three to flip the Senate. their best chance is NV, and Georgia (in that order) their odds of winning Georgia is about 2:3 right now. it's not good. but it is certainly something they can clear. anyone with feelings on the Georgia race should chime in. i took OH out of the tossup category. for now. the odds of Democrats winning the Senate are currently 57%. the three tossup states are PA, GA, and NV. the GOP has to win all three to gain a majority. the best odds are that Democrats win all three, at this juncture. one more note: Tim Ryan's odds of winning Ohio have gone up 13% in the last month. at this rate, it will be a tossup by August.

Guess which Senate candidate: "Since we don't control the air, our good air decided to float over to China's bad air. So when China gets our good air, their bad air got to move. So it moves over to our good air space. Then -- now we got we to clean that back up." link Think he took one too many hits on the field.
