Link please. I find it bizarre you have a smiley emoji at the end of your quoted post. You're happy that your investments are losing money as are other U.S. investors. You are happy you are paying more for gasoline. Happy you are paying more to purchase food. Apparently happy more U.S. residents are getting sick and dying from Covid. That's pretty sick. I like Biden but he is getting too old to run again. I notice of late he is being very careful walking about like me. Being careful not to fall. He is still able to respond better then trump ever could. His answers make sense. And I like when they asked will you defend Taiwan, no pause just yes, that is as it should be.
Missed one of DD's scrips and the automated system at CVS is awful. I hate that thing, it never understands what I say. I use the keypad much as possible and getting to the pharmacy is aggravating.
I had to switch my scrips to Walmart and I have mail order a bunch from Humana which so far is working. I will say after one or 2 button selections at Walmart a real person answers, I do like that. Dealing with live people is preferable.

I don't care about physical disability, but the repubs use that as a sign he can't do his job. Walking carefully is just part of getting old. I have no problems with Biden.
I do think we should have done more to stop Russia before they did anything. All of Nato should have had troops standing across the border and said no further. Now I'm afraid Russia is going to get the country of Ukraine, just sickening. But I realize he can only do so much.

The $15 minimum wage now has to be $20, $25 per hour range to survive today's prices.

So many erroneous comments so little time. The president does not control gas prices. Nor does the president control inflation- hard not to have inflation when the whole world is struggling with it. Remember how you used to say Trump shouldn’t be blamed for Covid? If you think Biden should be handling inflation differently please explain how. Also, don’t cry over the independent haulers. I work for a manufacturing company and every contract we have with a hauler has a line item for fuel surcharges which are tied to the price of gas. And everyone is so crunched for late components we pay what we have to to avoid shutting down our production lines and shipping our products- added shipping costs get tacked onto per item cost because Capitalism. By the way, did you see the study that our national debt rose more under Trump than it did either Bush Jr or Obama? And Trump had a few good years of a really rocking economy before Covid hit - maybe if he hadn’t dug so far into the cookie jar for his tax break for the millionaires he wouldn’t have racked up so much debt? After all, the millionaires were the only segment that actually came out of Covid with more money than they went into it with, seems like that gift could have been used to spend down the debt more. If someone was in charge that cared about debt, and not the serial bankrupt loser. |

Florida now has the most unaffordable home prices in the country. WHo to blame, who to blame? Biden, or maybe DeSantis since he is governor? Or maybe the cause is a multitude of controllable and uncontrollable factors so neither is to blame?

He told me you can ask them to compare to Walmart, and they will give you the lower of their price or Walmart's. I was reading the Expat thread, sooner or later our elected officials are going to have to admit that our system is too expensive and drastic changes need to be made. If we didn't allow lobbyists unlimited influence, the system we have would not exist. |

Humana says use Walmart, so I don't know about Sam's, yes, we have a club here and we belong. Most of mine are mail order from Humana now. I have 3 or 4 that are expensive everywhere so not much I can do about that.
By the way if you read up on it, inflation is killing people all over the world. People are hurting everywhere. Though some fools here are blaming Biden for it. Lots of factors, war, mainly covid and destruction of the supply chain, but droughts are bad in several places. I expect it to get much worse before it's better, there are going to be shortages of all types of products. But like anything if you have enough money you can buy it.
I was reading through some articles yesterday and it was showing that we have lost large numbers of the middle class with low wages, now most states have from 28 to 40% living with poverty level wages. Industry and the wealthy have done what they wanted to do, keep all the money. This won't go on forever, I expect those people to rebel and they are partly now. I think that is why you are seeing unrest and it's coming out in various ways among conservatives. They are blaming everything and everybody but those responsible. Hate to say it, won't say dumb, but very uniformed as to what the issues are in this country. Fox news has done a great job of creating scapegoats that have nothing to do with it. Now how this sorts out I don't know, but if this mess isn't brought under control this country is going to continue falling apart.
