Blacks and other people of color won't be able to vote in Republican-controlled states in 2022/2024 anyway with all those new voting restrictions.

Isn't this just a little weird? Posting the same thing in two different threads under Politics? Trump had a 38 approval rating at this point in his Presidency in 2017. You might want to dig into the numbers though. The highest Dem approval rating was 98 by party. The lowest is 92. Not much moving on in RL. I always thought that the conservatives would spend their time on tearing down Kamala Harris. But since Trump is playing the eternal snowflake in public, I suppose it became inevitable you and others might focus more on Biden. For balance, from the other thread you posted this on- Trump approval ratings- news.gallup.com/poll/203198/presidential-approval-ratings-donald-trump.aspx

Did you know there was a similar poll on Trump around the same time in his Presidency? Quinnipiac University Poll/November 14, 2017 – page 2 American voter opinions of most Trump qualities remain negative: 58 – 37 percent that he is not honest; 59 – 38 percent that he does not have good leadership skills; 59 – 39 percent that he does not care about average Americans; 65 – 30 percent that he is not level headed 58% said Trump was not honest versus the 38% calling Biden not honest. Trump had a 35% approval rating then and a 58% disapproval rating. poll.qu.edu/images/polling/us/us11142017_uqr553.pdf

I think some of it was wishful thinking and part tit for tat for the past four years. What the past four years taught me is things were not going to go the way I thought. I wish VB would support someone more pro-America and pragmatic. Romney, Christie ... Someone that didn't need Q and their stories to stay afloat.

Also someone who doesn’t need to burn the country down because they lost an election. Christie is making some interesting moves. Coming out publicly against Trump, claiming Trump offered him all kinds of jobs but not the one he wanted (AG) until finally he did get offered that job, but Christie turned it down when he discovered Trump had leaked the news (Christie knew he couldn’t trust him then). Now he’s saying Trump needs to accept the fact that he lost and move on. Christie is an opportunist (aren’t all politicians) so I’m wondering what he anticipates will happen in the next few years.

Now he’s saying Trump needs to accept the fact that he lost and move on. Christie is an opportunist (aren’t all politicians) so I’m wondering what he anticipates will happen in the next few years. Christie was never offered the Attorney General job. He apparently was offered the position of Chief of Staff, which he did turn down. In Christie's prior book he wrote he only wanted one of two jobs - AG and another one I do not remember. In that book, Trump offered him quite a few jobs but never the two he was interested in. The Chief of Staff job peopled by Christie is what Trump leaked. Had he leaked the AG job as Christie, I bet Christie would have still taken it. Do note Christie will only come out against Trump to a degree. He is a master politician, not a statesman. He does not have the will or strength to do what Liz Cheney has done or even what Mitt Romney has done. I like some of the things Christie does, but I remember too, how much Christie helped Trump in 2020 as well. My biggest lesson of 2016 to 2020, was the sheer amount of GOPers who were so party over country they enabled many abuses. Sure some of them slowed or derailed some stupid, but mostly they were enablers. Christie has many years of knowing how far he can push Trump publicly and privately. Plus, I would expect there are big money donors whispering in his ear to do this book, to be a public voice of "reason".

Revised for VB. Biden is not dead and will finish his term. FYI, the demise of Donald Trump referenced his power and political downfall as a President to the American public. that made better sense. have you been asleep the last four years?

So, everyone here is still in denial over Biden and the true backing he has with American citizens. Mainstream democrat voters have abandoned him and the democrats who planned on moving him out of office after a year or two to have Harris replace him are hoping he hangs on for the four year term because they know if Harris takes over, the democrats will be out of power for at least 8 years over the politcal fall from grace with American citizens. Democrats are hoping he hangs on for the four years, announces he will not seeek re-election and they pick a new person to run in 2023 for the Presidencial race in 2024.

This reads like the RW storyline prior to the election. Its a fantasy and a lie. The presidency doesn't work that way. The GOP could not find the political will to remove Trump no matter how bad his approval numbers were. Let this lie go. It was attempted fear mongering prior to the election and it shows the same understanding of Presidential politics as those who stormed the Capitol. I plan to survive the pandemic. That's what I care about. Not Q type tales.

Hmmm, Biden’s approval today is 42.7. At the same time in his presidency Trump was at 38.2.
Disapproval rating - Trump 56.4, Biden 51.4
Yes someone is in denial.

I don’t know anybody who is really excited about electing Biden. I do know lots of people who would’ve voted for a flaming bag of poop over Donald Trump. I think this is one where we just have to wait it out and see who pops up as our next candidates

The graphics are confusing and picking the most important issue probably carries more weight for other people than it does for me. What I see is Crime is the most important issue for 7% of Democrats and 10% of the Republicans. The gap on immigration is larger- 2% top issue of Democrats and 18% of the Republicans call it their top issue. Opposite of your statement.

I’ve been extremely pleased with my choice.

trump was okay with immigrants from northern Europe.
trump and has cult didn't want immigrants coming from "shithole" African countries, Haiti and Elsavador. Trump and his cult also didn't want Muslims entering the country because they could very likely be terrorists with backpacks. Just ask Repuboican congresswoman Loren Boebert.

That I 100% agree with. Work doesn't speak for itself anymore. Expertise and knowledge are dirty words. They need to be like P.T. Barnum. Americans don't want competent statesmen, they want reality TV stars.
