Okay, again, Biden is finished and democrats have told everyone this. They do not want him. Period. Post whatever you feel about Trump, but he will not be leading the party in 2024 election but you know Biden is finished and will not head the party ticket. Accept it and be at peace with it. Remember I nailed this a long time ago. Finished? He seems to be doing quite well. As for the 2024 elections, he already said he will not run. He just needed these 4 years to clean up Trump's unholy mess and to somehow get the country back on track. I can not find a single link to where Biden states he will not run. Everything I find has him saying he will run. One factor that must be considered is that even if he has decided in his mind not to seek reelection, he is a smart enough politician to know that the minute he announces it he becomes a lame duck and his presidency is over.

Hey, VB!! Republicans refused to put a cap on insulin at $35. 37 million Americans are diabetic and have to pay for insulin through the nose. Evidently, the Republicans get a lot a kickbacks from Big Pharma. It's appalling. Some diabetics skip doses because it's so expensive. Some only take insulin every second day. Some do without, and end up getting really sick. So, what do you think of that?
'Insulin does not belong to me, it belongs to the world. '' - Sir Frederick Banting.

www.politico.com/news/2019/12/11/biden-single-term-082129 It makes sense to me that in late 2019, as Biden was struggling to gain traction in his effort to gain the Democratic presidential nomination, that his campaign would circulate the idea that people weren't necessarily signing up for 8 years if they backed him for 2020. Got anything since he took office? Perhaps since he was elected? Hell, anything since he won the nomination?

That's adorable that you think he's going to read it. A slightly better chance here than on the The Cult of Trump thread.

That must make Republicans so sad, can't come on here every week or so and state how low his approval ratings are and that he is done! Oh well, they have Trump's hissy fits while he begs for donations. Comical they will send him their last dime and bitch about inflation!

Rasmussen Reports, the sole pollster still conducting daily presidential approval ratings, said today that Biden’s average has moved up to 47% approval, the best the president has seen since September of last year. Some 52% said they disapprove of Biden. Just a month ago, his approval rating was an all-time low of 36%, so the turnaround has been significant and swift. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/biden-bottoms-out-pops-back-to-47-25-approval/ar-AA10WDVfJust making sure people are paying attention to Biden getting it done for America while conservatives are kissing Trump's ass! That big red wave still coming? Or are people realizing conservatives have nothing to offer but their fake boogeyman agenda?

the more compelling the case becomes against Trump, the better Biden will look.
that might not make sense on the surface, but i think it is true in this R/D world.

Like when Trump said the fact that he paid very little tax just proved he was a smart businessman. Or the way the far right GOP are screaming about the IRS getting more agents in order to harass all the very nice middle class small business owner tax cheats. When did being a tax cheat become a good thing? Trump getting paid 5 million for an appearance on WWE and having them disguise it as a donation to his fake charity so he avoids paying taxes? Giving his employees free apartments and free private school paid by the company so they skip having to pay taxes on the money? That cheats all the rest of us who actually do pay what we owe. Yet the far right GOP is ready to round up the tiki torches and hangin’ nooses and go after the public servants who are trying to keep everyone playing fair? Great.

Another annoying thing about the far righties - they seem to celebrate ‘good’ businessmen who figure out how to cheat on their taxes, but are having melt downs because Biden gave 10,000 bucks to help people pay off their student debt.
All the wailing from the far right!! Why should anyone get anything for free? Why would they get free money when I didn’t get free money! I worked hard to get through college debt free so they should, too!!
But figure out a way to avoid paying your fair share of taxes makes you a canny businessman who should be celebrated - and who needs to be protected by those over reaching tax people who expect you to pay what you owe.
It’s still just free money from the government, only it’s illegal.

Yeah I was listening to a podcast the other day that broke down the statistics about how housing costs have doubled or tripled in the last twenty years, and average college costs have doubled or tripled in the same time frame, but salaries have essentially remained flat. All part of the growing wealth gap between the very rich and the rest of us. Here’s an idea - let’s have the IRS go after the tax cheats and make them pay their fair share to make up for the money we’re giving to the people earning less than $125,000 who still have college debt they’re paying off. I have zero problem with that. Just the tax money Trump and Trump Inc has grifted off to pay off a few hundred of these loans.

Just for fun, I thought I would write down the tax scams Trump and Trump inc had done - that I know about. Without doing any googling.
His dad transferred things around prior to his death, hiding his transactions, so that when he died he was only worth $400,000 bucks. He was probably worth many millions at that point. So he cheated the death taxes. One way his dad did it was to have his kids create ABC company who supplied plumbing fixtures and did repairs for apartment complexes. Then Trump Inc would pay ABC company 100,000 bucks to paint one of their apartment towers. Company ABC wrote out a receipt for the work, got paid, but did no work at all. This was a double grift - the ABC company got paid to do nothing (this is how Trump Sr transferred all his wealth) and when Trump Inc sold the apartment tower, they had receipts to show all the repairs they paid to have done - so they got to increase the sale price.
Then there was the big grift of claiming a conservation tax break for not developing a bunch of land that couldn’t be developed in the first place, due to land restrictions. Then he got paid 5 million bucks from the WWE guy, but instead of getting that as a payment, Trump had him make a 5 million dollar charity donation to the fake Trump charity - so he didn’t have to pay income tax on that money. And Trump Inc paid it’s employees part of their salary by buying things for them - expensive apartment rentals, private schools, fancy cars. This way his employees (including his kids) avoided paying income tax on it.
This is just the grift he and his family have done that I can remember reading about. I’m sure it’s just the tip of the tax fraud iceberg, if I bothered to google it. This is how the 10% scheme their way to keep their money, while my DH and I and all the rest of the dutiful middle class wage slaves have dutifully paid what we owe every year.

Right off the bat, let me state for the record that I don’t especially care where Scott takes trips. The Florida Republican is incredibly wealthy — he’s actually the Senate’s richest member, with a net worth of over a quarter of a billion dollars — and it’s not unusual for incredibly wealthy people to spend time on luxury yachts in Italy. On the surface, there’s nothing especially surprising about the news, to the extent that it should be seen as news at all. But just below the surface, there’s a bit more to it. There is, for example, some rather brazen hypocrisy. As recently as Monday, the GOP senator publicly mocked President Joe Biden for “vacationing in Delaware” instead of working in the White House. To publish such derision on Twitter while kicking back on a yacht on the Mediterranean is jarring, even by Republican standards. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/maddow-blog-why-rick-scott-s-vacation-plans-sparked-a-new-round-of-questions/ar-AA113kOq?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=f8af6c777d5a490ffb8500d7451931f2And to think, they are so worried about the cult of Biden when would be a good thing to worry about the stupid shit their own party pulls!
