They put on a pretty good episode of the Trump show yesterday with the Attorney General Garland: During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with Attorney General Merrick Garland, Sen. Ted Cruz defended parents opposed to mask mandates in school, including an Ohio woman who made a Nazi salute at a school board meeting. Garland faced testy comments from Sen. Tom Cotton as well as other Republicans during the hearing, who called for the memo to be rescinded and for the Attorney General to resign. "Thank God you are not on the Supreme Court," Cotton told Garland during the hearing. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/ted-cruz-defended-an-anti-mask-parent-who-did-a-nazi-salute-at-a-school-board-meeting/ar-AAQ1MAB?ocid=msedgntpYou think your job is hard? I wonder how he kept from telling Cotton to go F^&K yourself! Parents have every right to speak at public meetings against mask mandates, including making a mocking Nazi salute. And it is reasonable for federal law enforcement officials to work with local jurisdictions to identify actual threats of criminal activity. I was commenting on their behavior during the hearing. The leaders of this country. Maybe this explains it better: The question here is not about free speech and what it allows. The issue is whether Americans and their political leaders will act on the basis of a higher principle than political point-scoring, and ultimately be able to douse the flames of hatred and division that are weakening the country. www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/opinion-the-problem-with-ted-cruz-s-defense-of-a-nazi-salute/ar-AAQ76zZ?ocid=msedgntpThe only way to appease their base anymore is putting on the "trump show" and making the most hurtful comments possible. Here' the playbook: In a 2011 speech, Donald Trump explained his single top rule in life: “Get even with people. If they screw you, screw them back 10 times as hard. I really believe it.” He’s repeated the same idea over and over again in speeches, tweets, and books published under his byline. www.msn.com/en-us/news/opinion/the-trump-comeback-looms/ar-AAQ2RrD?ocid=msedgntpIt's the cult of Trump.

Poor Elisabetta Savigni Ullmann: she enjoyed translating Biden's English to the pope but was flabbergasted in trying to translate trump's bat-shit crazy to the pontiff.

Trump blasted the MLB back when it moved the allstar game out of Atlanta after it imposed voter suppression laws.
Then he asked them for tickets to game four in Atlanta.
They gave him a box, and Trump went on a conservative radio show Friday to brag about how much Georgia loved him, and how he bigly won a year ago, if you ignore all the voter fraud. He thanked the MLB for inviting him to the game.
Atlanta does not love Trump, voting at almost 60% for Biden, so I was curious about what kind of reception he would get. According to DH, who watched the game, no response at all.
The MLB put out a statement that they did not invite Trump. He asked for tickets.
I don’t think Trump is as beloved by the masses as he thinks he is.

There’s a video of Melania looking disgruntled at the game.
In all fairness I always look exactly the same way until I get a beer, and sometimes even after. Like Melania, I only go to humor DH.
And for the beer.
I do like the new Atlanta stadium, though, except there are always so many other humans there.

The D.C. Corrections Department for a second time turned away two House lawmakers seeking to check the prison conditions of Jan. 6 defendants locked up in the troubled facility. A jailer told Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Louie Gohmert, “We’re finished,” as they pressed for entry and were denied. “What are you hiding?” asked Greene, who has helped to lead the effort to free the defendants. “As members of Congress, we have oversight over the district,” she said in a video she posted to Twitter. She wrote on the platform, “Today @replouiegohmert and myself were denied entry to visit Louie’s constituent & conduct oversight at the DC jail. I’m extremely concerned about the treatment of J6 defendants & now ALL inmates being held there.” www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/dc-jailer-tells-mtg-and-gohmert-we-re-finished-when-they-ask-to-see-jan-6-defendants/ar-AAQhFMZ?ocid=msedgntpTwo sets of laws? Of course, she can’t attend committees so she’s limited on what she actually do. She used to travel around doing a dog and pony show with Matt Gaetz but he seems to have disappeared lately. Maybe he went back to his home planet before the feds could bust him for paying teens for sex.

Deplorables was an understatement. And please don't confuse the "Republican faithful" of earlier times with the Trump faithful of today. There is no longer any honor, courage, or integrity left in the Republican Party, and only a few individuals here and there that demonstrate any of those. That lack has allowed its takeover and total debasement by a grossly immature, malignant narcissist authoritarian dictator wanna-be who will trash everything that America is supposed to value in service to his own greed and lust for both power and revenge. You can maintain your attachment to the name "Republican" if you want, but there is virtually no reason to do so. The vast majority of principled conservatives have denounced the party as it currently sits. I can respect principled conservatives, but this country would be remarkably better off if every hard-core Trump supporter failed to wake up tomorrow....

You use to be better than that. i don't think mess is a very serious insult. in fact, i think it is funny, in that it reads like masses.
furthermore, i really do think that anyone who BELOVES Trump (or Biden, for that matter) is a fucking mess. i could have said fucking mess before, but i didn't. i am doing so now.
feel free to think even less of me, but it is not improving my impression of you.
